Introducing The Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Guilloché
Louis Erard brings us two new iterations of the Excellence Petite Seconde that come with beautiful textured dials raising the bar.
The Excellence Petite Seconde is an elegant watch arrived in 2020 that displays small seconds, applied Arabic numerals and hour markers and fir-tree hands.
These two new additions come with different Guilloché textures on the dial and which, unlike usual, are not handmade but stamped.
The watches come in two sizes, one at 39mm with a blue and grey dial and a wider 42mm in anthracite and grey tones. The round-shaped polished stainless steel case features a smooth bezel, sapphire crystal on the front and back, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with the fir-tree motif and 50m water resistance.
On the dial we can find a centre disc with a radial pattern and evolving waves that grow from the inside out in shades of blue or anthracite and that combine with the minute chapter ring next to the edges, and a grey intermediate ring with a panier motif similar to the small seconds and on which hour markers rest besides the fir-tree hands.
The heart of the watches is driven by the Elaboré Grade Sellita SW261-1 automatic movement, which operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve.
Both watches come attached to an anthracite-toned calfskin leather strap with a steel buckle and can be purchased for a price of CHF 2,300.
