Introducing the Laurent Ferrier Grand Sport Tourbillon Golden Brown

Surprise, surprise, there is a new Grand Sport Tourbillon in the Laurent Ferrier collection, a model launched in 2019 in stainless steel in a very limited edition of only 12 units and which the Swiss watchmaker brand stated that it would not produce anymore, as well after 3 years the brand returns to produce the Grand Sport Tourbillon in a new limited edition and now in 5N red gold.
The new timepiece, which is now offered in a luxurious gold case, comes with an integrated bracelet in the same material with 3 links, instead of the rubber bracelet that accompanied the previous steel edition, with an onion-shaped crown at 3 o’clock, a front sapphire crystal that also extends to the case back engraved with the corresponding “X/24” type numbering.
The dial that maintains the brown colour is now presented in a chocolate tone and with a gradient effect, which comes with gold applied hour markers and alpha hands in the centre all filled with white Super-LumiNova, which in the previous edition was in an orange tone and for last, small seconds at 6 o’clock.
Inside there is nothing new, keeping the manual movement In-house Caliber 619.01 with a tourbillon double balance spring that seems to keep the ruthenium treatment to plates and bridges and that offers up to 80 hours of power reserve.
The 24 units of the new Grand Sport Tourbillon are on sale for CHF 225,000 (excl. taxes) which represents a premium of just over €45,000 (excl. taxes) compared to the steel edition, which, taking into account that comes with a case and integrated bracelet in 5N red gold could be a better deal than the proposal offered in 2019.
