Introducing The Hermès Cut
“Cut” is the name of the most recent creation in the Hermès watchmaking collection, but it could also be called “Cute”, as it comes with a different shape and with an integrated bracelet, without being dazzling, it is elegant and uneven.
The watch is presented in a case with 4 sides cut with interesting dimensions reminiscent of vintage, with 36mm wide, 10mm high and 42mm lug-to-lug distance, which features a mainly satin-brushed finish, crown in the unusual position of 1:30 that comes with the “H” brand signature in orange or engraved and 100m of water resistance.
The watch arrives in four different variants, one in stainless steel, another in steel & rose gold and two others similar to the previous ones, to which a diamond-set bezel is added, each with 56 stones.
On the opaline white-silvery dial we can find In-house applied Arabic numerals that, like the hour and minute hands, are filled with Super-LumiNova that makes them glow green in the dark, a central disc with a minute/second track and orange circumferences for every 5 minutes matching the lollipop centre seconds hand with an orange tip.
It is through the rear sapphire crystal held by six screws that we can discover the Caliber H1912 automatic movement that gives life to the watch, which reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 50 hours of power reserve.
The watch, in addition to the integrated bracelet option with links in the shape of the brand’s “H”, also has eight rubber strap options, with prices ranging from €5,400 for the steel variants with a rubber strap to €17,000 for the two-tone variant with matching bracelet and a diamond-set bezel.
