Introducing The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Concept Minute Repeater Tourbillon Aqua Blue
Moser & Cie has just launched a minute repeater, and although it is not the first of the brand, it is the first time that they choose to manufacture it in a “reduced” size, a 40mm case, and in two variants with different materials, one in titanium and another in red gold, the latter being a first for the brand.
The elegance of this watch immediately stands out for its aqua blue “Grand Feu” enamel dial, which, as is the brand’s signature, despite the great complications, maintains simplicity where there is no space for details such as indices or even the brand’s name and logo. Thus, in the minimalist dial, in addition to the leaf-shaped hour and minute hands, there is an opening at 6 o’clock through which we can observe a one-minute flying tourbillon and another opening that reveals the complex chime mechanism, highlighting the hammers positioned between at 9 and 12 o’clock.
The design of this minute repeater involved many challenges, so that the classic lines and dimensions of the watch respected the brand’s philosophy, and its interior space allowed not only to accommodate the movement but also to create a balanced soundbox that amplify the chiming of hours, quarter-hours and minutes by two gongs.
No less ingenious is the process of creating each one of these dials that are unique, starting from a gold base with a hammered effect, four different colour pigments are applied that are added individually and in turn, which go into the oven twelve times to create the smoke effect resulting in a translucent “Grand Feu” enamel dial.
Inside, the manual movement HMC 904 operates, which includes many skeletonized parts and whose splendour can be seen through the sapphire case back, which operates at 21,600 Vph and offers up to 90 hours of power reserve.
The watch is offered with a brown or black alligator leather strap with a titanium or red gold pin buckle.
