Introducing The Frederique Constant Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition
Frederique Constant presents the new Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar in a limited edition of 88 pieces that serves to mark the opening of the Citizen multibrand store in the heart of New York City of which the Swiss watch brand has been part since 2016.
The new watch arrives in a stainless steel case with an integrated bracelet and a blue dial that, in addition to the perpetual calendar, is also adorned with a tourbillon.
The latest Highlife watch wears the traditional Tounneau shaped case measuring 41mm in diameter and 12.65mm thick, which comes with a brushed finish on the surfaces and polished on the smooth bezel, fluted crown and bevels. Sapphire glass on both sides and 100m water resistance.
But it’s on the blue-gray dial that everything happens, presenting a layout made up of three registers at 12-3-9 o’clock that materialize into a month dial with a leap-year indicator, a date pointer sub-dial and a day of week display respectively. But the main star here is the 60-second tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock. On the dial we can also find a blue raised minute track on the periphery with applied hour markers that, like the two centre pencil hands, are filled with Super-LumiNova.
At its heart runs the In-house automatic movement Caliber FC-975 of 188 components, which reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve. Also noteworthy are the skeletonized gold rotor and the bridges decorated with Côtes de Geneve, which can be seen through the rear sapphire crystal.
In addition to the integrated steel bracelet on which the watch is attached, the set also includes two extra blue straps, one in calfskin leather and the other in rubber, benefiting from its tool-free exchange system, and which arrives at the competitive price of €26,995 which comparing with the first tourbillon launched with the same Caliber by the brand in 2018 means an increase in value of €7,500.
