Introducing The Fortis Novonaut AMADEE-24 In Titanium
Fortis has just introduced its latest Novonaut the AMADEE-24 which for the first time wears a titanium case.
This is a limited edition of 100 pieces that support the Armenia 2024 Mission, a Mars analogue simulation in Armenia, managed by the Austrian Space Forum and hosted by the Armenia Aerospace Agency.
In addition to the new case and bracelet material, the new Novonaut also comes with a few more novelties, such as a countdown bezel, a bi-compax layout and gold accents.
On the outside, the new Fortis AMADEE-24 now comes dressed in a titanium case with the same dimensions as its siblings with 42mm in diameter, 15mm in thickness and 51mm lug-to-lug distance, countdown bezel with a communication-delay tracker that in addition of the inverted triangle with pip lume at noon now adds two other identical marks at 50 and 40 seconds, sapphire glass, fluted crown with the brand’s signature flanked by two pushers, screwed solid case back and 200m of water resistance.
On the black dial, we find a few more news, such as a partially textured dial with a snailed pattern between 11 and 5 o’clock, and applied ceramic Arabic numerals that, like the hands, are filled with the same Super-LumiNova X1 that we find on the bezel. A 30-minute counter with numerals outlined by a golden ring at noon, a double day-date window at 3 o’clock, a double hair cross running seconds at 9 o’clock and finally the AMADEE-24 logo at 6 o’clock that replaces the former 12-hour counter.
Inside, the column wheel chronograph once again features the WERK 17 automatic movement, which runs at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 60 hours of power reserve.
The Fortis Novonaut AMADEE-24, in addition to being attached to a titanium block bracelet, also comes with a black hook strap that can now be purchased for the price of €6,100.
