Introducing The Citizen Series 8 GMT
Citizen presents three new Series 8 GMT watches with mechanical movement and integrated bracelets.
The new GMT is presented with two regular models in stainless steel and a limited edition of 1,300 pieces whose steel case comes with a gold tone.
They all share the same 41mm diameter by 13.5mm thick case, two-tone bidirectional bezel with a 24-hour scale, sapphire crystal, fluted crown, open case back and 100m water resistance. On the textured dial two faceted sword hands in the same tone as the case filled with luminescent material that we can also find on the applied hour markers, a centre seconds hand, an extra GMT hand with an orange arrow-shape tip and a framed date window at 3 o’clock.
As far as the differences between the three interactions, we have a steel version that comes with a blue dial and a “Pepsi” bezel in blue and red tones, another one that comes with a black dial and a “Batman” bezel in black and blue, and finally a steel version with a gold tone that comes with a beige dial and a burgundy-beige bezel.
Inside they are operated by the automatic movement Caliber Citizen 9075 with a time-zone jumping, reaching 28,800 Vph and offering up to 50 hours of power reserve.
The new GMTs are attached to an integrated tapered bracelet in the same tone as the case, with external H-shaped links and centre square interconnecting.
The watches are expected to hit the market next fall priced at USD 1,695 for the two regular versions and at USD 1,795 for the limited edition with a gold tone.
