Introducing the Breitling Top Time Triumph
The Breitling after bringing back the Top Time in 2020 with the known “the Zorro dial” as a limited edition, last year we saw its return again, first through a special and limited collaboration with brand Deus Ex Machina, which in my opinion was the most attractive so far, and in the second half of 2021, a new edition of the Top Time, this time with Classic Cars theme, offered in three different variants but this time as a regular edition.
Breitling now brings us a new variant of the Top Time, the result of a collaboration with the British motorcycle brand Triumph. This collaboration is based on the spirit of the “café racers” of the ’60s and also marks 120 years of Triumph brand, that combines historic craftsmanship with contemporary design to create its classic motorcycles and that according to Georges Kern, Ceo of Breitling is based on the same philosophy of the Swiss watch brand.
From this collaboration two variants of the Top Time Triumph are born, one of them exclusive for those who jointly acquire one of the 270 co-branded motorcycles – the Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition, whose Top Time differs from the regular version by presenting a sunray dial and case back engraved with the individual number of the bike.
The new Breitling Top Time Triumph, comes in a 41mm stainless steel case with oversized mushroom pushers that allows the chronograph function to be handled even with gloves, convex sapphire crystal, steel case back engraved with Triumph parallel-twin engine design sketch and 30m of water resistance. It is in the dial that this edition stands out, with both variants featuring ice-blue dials matching the motorcycle’s gas tank, and with the regular version also featuring the bow-tie motif known as “the Zorro dial”. Also on the dial, both watches feature a black inner ring with a tachymeter scale, black baton hour markers, two black squircle counters with white accents, silver hands filled with Super-LumiNova and black inscriptions of the logos brands, with Breitling at 12 o’clock and Triumph at 6 o’clock.
The watches are powered by the Breitling Caliber B23 (based on ETA 7753) automatic movement, which offers up to 48 hours of power reserve and is COSC certified.
The watch comes with a black racing-themed calfskin leather strap with a folding buckle. The watches are already on sale in the brand’s official boutiques and retailers at the price of € 5,290, with the exception of the exclusive edition which orders must be placed with Triumph by August 22, 2022.
