Introducing The Breitling Navitimer B01 Aston Martin Formula One Team

Breitling marks a new chapter in its motorsport involvement with the release of the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team. Created to coincide with the brand’s appointment as Official Watch Partner of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, the watch translates elements of Formula 1 engineering and team identity into the long-established Navitimer chronograph platform. Production is limited to 1,959 pieces, a reference to Aston Martin’s first appearance in Formula 1 in 1959.

Built on the classic Navitimer architecture, the model combines aviation-derived functionality with contemporary materials commonly associated with modern motorsport. The result is a chronograph that preserves the Navitimer’s signature design while introducing new construction choices and visual cues linked to Aston Martin’s Formula One program.

Titanium case and Navitimer proportions

The watch features a 43 mm case made from lightweight titanium, marking the first time this material has been used on the traditional Navitimer line (excluding aerospace-oriented variants). The case measures 49.07 mm lug-to-lug with a thickness of 13.69 mm, maintaining familiar Navitimer proportions while reducing overall weight.

As with other Navitimer models, the case includes the brand’s signature bi-directional rotating bezel with a circular slide rule. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.

Carbon fiber dial and team-inspired accents

The dial is constructed from carbon fiber, a material widely used in Formula 1 car construction. Its textured surface contrasts with applied hour markers and three recessed chronograph sub-dials.

Color accents reference the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team livery, with details in Racing Green and lime visible on the dial and chronograph elements. Super-LumiNova is applied to the hands and hour markers to ensure legibility in low-light conditions.

The dial layout follows the classic Navitimer chronograph configuration, with a date window positioned discreetly within the design.

Breitling Manufacture Caliber B01

Powering the watch is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B01, an automatic chronograph movement that is COSC-certified for chronometer accuracy. The movement offers a 70-hour power reserve and features a column wheel and vertical clutch architecture.

The sapphire crystal case back reveals a matte black tungsten rotor treated with a high-durability PVD coating. The rotor is engraved with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team logo, while the titanium case-back rim carries the inscriptions “One of 1959” and “Instruments for Drivers.”

Limited edition and pricing

The Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team is a limited edition of 1,959 pieces worldwide. It represents a blend of Breitling’s historic Navitimer design with contemporary motorsport materials and branding.
