Introducing the Breitling Endurance Pro
If there are brands that have endeavoured to bring some normality to the market, one of these brands is undoubtedly Breitling, instead of hiding behind complaints about the contingencies of a new pandemic world, Breitling decided to roll up its sleeves and move forward without apologies. Since the beginning of the year, we have seen the launch of Top Time, SuperOcean Heritage ’57, Chronomat and now Endurance Pro.
So, what is this Endurance Pro? As the name suggests it is a watch created for sport and outdoor activities, a watch prepared for use by athletes in competitions, where every second count, for this Breitling created this watch an ultralight piece, very resistant and anti-allergic. It was developed in collaboration with the Breitling Triathlon Squad, which put all its experience at the service of the technical department assisting in the design and conception of this model and the result is what you see.
The material of the Endurance Pro is the same that debuted on the Avenger Hurricane in 2016, the Breitlight, an exclusive light material propriety of the brand made in Switzerland, 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than steel, the case is black with tactile texture. This watch also has some specific features: anti-magnetism, corrosion and scratch resistance and hypoallergenic. About the dimensions, 44mm in diameter, but should fit smaller according to the reduced lugs and only 64.60 grams in weight.
On the dial, we can find the brand logo embossed at 12 o’clock, the large Arabic numerals at 3-6-9 o’clock in the style of the Cockpit B50 Orbiter Limited Edition and the rest of the hour’s marks in a small font, the three chronometer subdials, a small date window at 4 ½ o’clock and a pulsometer inner frame in the chosen colour. Outside the case, a bidirectional compass bezel, also in the style of the Cockpit B50 as we mentioned above, a central crown (not screwed) and two push buttons that control the chronograph function. At the top of the case is an anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both sides and at the back a solid case.
On the movement, a Breitling Caliber 82 (ETA movement) a thermo-compensated SuperQuartz better prepared for temperature variations and with greater precision than normal quartz, with a COSC certified chronograph.
The watch comes in five colour variants: white, yellow, red, orange and blue, in addition to the small details like the pulsometer ring and the details of the crown and pusher in these colours, the rubber strap comes in the same colour, but also there is an alternative option for an Outerknown Econyl yarn Nato strap, the same as the SuperOcean Heritage ’57. The price of these watches is € 2,900.
