Introducing Five New Chopard Mille Miglia Chronographs
The Mille Miglia is one of the most important motorsport events that takes place every year in Italy, inspired by the historic race that gives its name to the event where we can see several classic cars racing.
This edition once again had Chopard as a sponsor, which already adds to its curriculum with 35 years in this condition, and as has been usual, it took the opportunity to present five new chronographs with the name of the event, with four of these new models becoming part of from the regular Chopard collection and one as a limited edition of 100 pieces.
Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph
And starting with the regular editions, they all wear the same Lucent steel case with dimensions of 40.5mm by 12.88mm, crown at 3 o’clock and two pushers, sapphire glass front and back and 50m of water resistance.
The dials are presented in different shades giving life to the four variants and so we have the “Verde Chiarro” which comes in mint green, the “Rosso Amarena” in cherry red, the “Grigio Blue” in blue, all these three featuring a circular brushed, and lastly the “Racing Black” which comes in black with a turned-engine finish. It should also be noted that the Grigio Blue is distinguished from the others by coming with a gold bezel, crown and pushers.
The dials feature a layout of three totalizers at 3-6-9 o’clock consisting of running seconds, a 12-Hours counter and a 30-minute counter. A tachymeter chapter ring, applied Arabic numerals and hands filled with luminescent material, a chronograph centre seconds hand with a red tip and a date window at 4:30.
Inside it comes equipped with an automatic movement that is COSC certified and operates at 28,800 Vph.
The black version is fixed on a rubber strap with the texture of the tire profile, while the other three variants are attached to a brown rally leather strap.
Mille Miglia GTS Chrono Limited Edition Italy 2023
The limited edition, on the other hand, wears a more robust 44mm case also in Lucent steel, which also comes on the outside with a tachymeter bezel in green matching the minute track chapter ring on the dial. The latter, which comes with a grainy beige background, features two oversized totalizers formed by a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6, we can also find a running second at 9 o’clock and a date window at 3 o’clock incorporated into the red Mille Miglia logo that matches the tone of the chronograph hands including the tipped chronograph centre seconds hand and a red ring that delimits the dial.
Inside, the Caliber Valjoux 7750 automatic movement operates, which is COSC certified, reaching 28,800 Vph and offering 2 days of power reserve.
The watch like the regular variants with the exception of the black one comes with a rally leather strap.
