Inspired By Night Racing: TAG Heuer Reveals New Monaco Skeleton Edition
As anticipation grows ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, TAG Heuer expands its racing-inspired lineup with a new version of the Monaco Chronograph Skeleton. This edition combines the iconic square case with a vivid blue-to-purple gradient that reflects the atmosphere of nighttime competition under bright city lights.
A Modern Take on the Iconic Monaco Case
The model is built around the classic 39 mm Monaco case, crafted from Grade 2 titanium and coated in matte black DLC. The sandblasted finish enhances its technical look while preserving the strong identity of the Monaco family. With a thickness of 15.20 mm, a lug-to-lug distance of 47.40 mm and a water-resistance rating of 100 metres, it maintains the sporty proportions and durability expected from this collection. Familiar features such as the bevelled sapphire crystal and the block-shaped chronograph pushers positioned on the right side are also present.

Openworked Dial With Gradient Night-Race Colors
The dial is where the night-racing theme becomes most apparent. The openworked construction is anchored by an X-shaped structure that surrounds the square chronograph sub-dials. For this edition, the structure transitions from purple to deep blue, recalling the shift from dusk to full night over the Las Vegas Strip.

When viewed in low light, the watch reveals a dynamic luminous display. The chronograph indications emit a blue glow, which is complemented by turquoise accents on the corresponding hands. The main hour and minute hands, along with the date display, glow green to ensure legibility. The X-shaped structural element displays a purple luminescence, creating a multi-layered visual effect that highlights the skeletonised architecture.

Iridescent Caseback Highlighting the TH20-00 Movement
The sapphire caseback features an iridescent metallization that shifts between blue and purple, echoing the gradient theme of the dial. Through it, the TAG Heuer calibre TH20-00 is visible. This movement, an evolution of the in-house calibre TH02, is an automatic, integrated chronograph equipped with a column wheel. It operates at 4Hz and offers an extended power reserve of approximately 80 hours, providing strong performance for daily wear.

Matching Strap and Limited Edition Release
Completing the watch is a black rubber and embossed calfskin strap detailed with purple stitching that mirrors the colors of the dial. It is secured by a folding clasp in black DLC-coated titanium.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Skeleton Gradient Blue/Purple is produced as a limited edition of 600 pieces and is priced at CHF 11,000.
