Hanhart 415 ES Chronograph Returns With Panda And Reverse Panda Dials
Hanhart continues its legacy of producing durable and visually distinctive chronographs with the latest additions to the 415 ES line: the Panda and Reverse Panda dial configurations. Drawing inspiration from a model originally introduced in the 1960s, these new releases merge historical aesthetics with contemporary construction and precision engineering.

Case and Construction
The new 415 ES chronographs are housed in a 39 mm stainless steel case—ES stands for “Edelstahl,” German for stainless steel—with a case thickness of 13.50 mm and a compact lug-to-lug distance of 46 mm. This size maintains the watch’s vintage proportions while offering modern wrist presence and comfort.

A signature design element is the fluted bidirectional rotating bezel, crafted in matte black ceramic with engraved 60-minute scale and an inverted triangle at the top. The 60-click bezel provides tactile feedback and is free of luminous material, preserving a clean and functional tool-watch aesthetic. The case features classic pump pushers and a deeply knurled crown, while the solid caseback and screw-down construction ensure a water resistance of up to 100 meters.
Dial and Display
Both the Panda (white dial with black sub-dials) and Reverse Panda (black dial with white sub-dials) versions offer high contrast for maximum legibility—a hallmark of chronographs developed for fast-paced environments. The layout has been refined compared to previous 415 ES models: the dial is free of tachymeter and red 100-unit scales, allowing for a more open and readable display.
The recessed sub-dials—30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock—feature a snailed texture for subtle visual depth. Notably, both sub-dials and the large Arabic numerals are filled with green-emission Super-LumiNova, which also extends to the hour, minute, and chronograph seconds hands for low-light readability.

Minute and chronograph second hands are slightly curved at the tips, aligning them precisely with the peripheral minute track and contributing to overall dial clarity. The watch is topped by a highly domed sapphire crystal, which subtly distorts the dial edges and reinforces the vintage character.
Movement and Performance
Inside the 415 ES Panda and Reverse Panda beats the hand-wound Sellita SW510 M, a modern chronograph movement offering robust performance and ease of maintenance. It delivers a power reserve of 58 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). The movement is housed within an anti-magnetic inner cage and benefits from Hanhart’s proprietary shock-damping system, enhancing its resistance to physical impacts.
Strap and Bracelet Options
Both models are available with a newly developed stainless steel bracelet that includes a folding clasp equipped with a tool-free micro-adjustment mechanism, allowing for up to 10mm of sizing flexibility. For those who prefer a more classic look, Hanhart also offers versions on calfskin leather straps, available in black, light brown, or dark brown, and fitted with a pin buckle.

Pricing and Availability
The version fitted with the stainless steel bracelet is priced at € 2,690, while the leather strap variant is offered at € 2,490.
With these new chronographs, Hanhart effectively bridges the gap between heritage design and modern functionality, offering a compelling option for those who appreciate classic aesthetics backed by contemporary watchmaking.
