Hamilton Introduces The Khaki Field Power Reserve Mechanical 40mm
The Hamilton Khaki Field collection has long stood as one of the brand’s most iconic lines, rooted in the robust and practical timepieces once issued to soldiers. Now, Hamilton expands the series with a noteworthy addition: the Khaki Field Power Reserve Mechanical 40 mm, the first model in the range to feature a power reserve indicator.
Case and Design
The new Khaki Field Power Reserve comes in a 40 mm stainless steel case with a sandblasted finish, designed to reduce glare and reinforce its utilitarian look. Measuring just under 12 mm in thickness, the case maintains a balanced profile that is both sturdy and wearable. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures long-lasting durability and clarity, while water resistance of up to 50 meters keeps the watch ready for everyday use in the field.

Dial and Legibility
Two dial variants are available, one in black and the other in white. Both stay true to the military-inspired design language of the Khaki Field line, featuring large Arabic numerals, a precise minute track, and syringe-style hands. To guarantee legibility even in low light conditions, the hands and markers are coated with Old Radium Super-LumiNova, which also gives the watch a touch of vintage charm. The most distinctive detail is the power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock, outlined in red and marked with the letters “F” for full and “E” for empty. At 6 o’clock, the dial carries the inscription “Power Reserve 80 Hours,” a subtle reminder of its enhanced functionality.

Movement and Performance
At the heart of the watch is the Hamilton calibre H-23, a hand-wound movement developed exclusively for the brand by ETA. Based on the tried-and-tested ETA 2801-2 architecture and further enhanced with Powermatic 80 technology, the calibre offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve. It is equipped with a Nivachron hairspring for improved resistance to magnetism, while a slipping spring in the barrel ensures reliability by preventing overwinding and keeping the power reserve display synchronised, even in the event of shocks.
Strap Options
The Khaki Field Power Reserve is available with two different strap configurations for each dial color. One version comes fitted with a green NATO textile strap complemented by brown leather loops and a pin buckle, highlighting the model’s rugged military character. The alternative option is a three-row stainless steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp, which is equipped with Hamilton’s EasyClick system, allowing for quick and tool-free strap changes.

Price and Availability
The Hamilton Khaki Field Power Reserve Mechanical 40mm is now part of the permanent Khaki Field collection and is offered in four references in total. The price is set at € 915 when paired with the NATO strap and € 995 when ordered on the steel bracelet.
