H. Moser Brings Back the Streamliner Centre Seconds Now with Smoked Salmon Dial
Definitely, this seems to be the year of salmon dials in retro style and we are not against it, on the contrary, we love it and this time it is H. Moser & Cie that surprises us with the new Streamliner Smoked Salmon.
In 2020, H. Moser debuted the first Streamliner Centre Seconds Matrix Green, which came with a beautiful fumé green dial, since then, the brand has chosen to introduce other Streamliners but with more complications, sending the simple Centre Seconds to the background and now three years later it is back in style with a no less beautiful salmon dial.
And starting with the main plate, the salmon dial, in addition to the smoke effect that causes its hue to darken from the centre outwards where salmon turns brown and this later merges into black, the centre of the dial now comes with vertically brushed effect instead of the previous sunburst finish of the “Matrix Green”. Another novelty is the fact that the H. Moser & Cie logo is now hidden by the transparent lacquer, a smart option that makes the dial less busy. Also, the minute and hour hands are now curved with longer Globolights inserts as we had already seen more recently on the Streamliner Chronograph UNDEFEATED. Everything else on the dial remains, namely the slender centre seconds hand and the minute track with the traditional two short markers between each one following a track: one up one down one up one down…
On the outside, the new Streamliner comes in a 40mm diameter by 12.1mm thick steel case, which means the watch is 3mm thicker, integrated bracelet, featuring a main satin finish, domed sapphire crystal, crown embossed with “M ” of the H. Moser brand, open case back, hide lugs and 120m of water resistance.
At its heart continues to live the Caliber HMC 200 with automatic movement, which comes with oscillating mass in rose gold, operating at 21,600 Vph and offering up to 72 hours of power reserve.
It is a one-year limited edition, which means that it will only be produced for one year, subject to its production capacity and demand, and will be available from May this year at a price of CHF 19,900.
