Grand Seiko Presents Online Exclusive 44GS Hi-Beat SBGH345
Grand Seiko launches a new online exclusive model 44GS Hi-Beat SBGH345 that comes with a red dial once again inspired by Mt. Iwate.
The new watch, which is similar in every way to the SBGH299 and SBGH301 models, is presented in a 44GS razor-sharp case, which was first introduced in 1967, and stands out for its wide bevels and traditional Zaratsu polishing.
The case in 904L stainless steel, 40mm in diameter, 13.30mm thick and 46.20mm lug-to-lug distance, present smooth bezel, sapphire crystal on both sides, screw-down crown at 3 o’clock with the brand’s signature and 100m water resistance.
The beautiful textured dial, which features a sunburst effect, pays homage to Mt. Iwate that can be seen from the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi. In it we can find sharp rhodium-plated hour markers and Dauphine hands, a framed date window next to the crown with a white background, the applied logo followed by the lettering at noon and the two lines of text referring to the Hi-Beat movement at 6 o’clock.
At its heart runs the 9S85 automatic movement which comes with an accuracy of +5 / -3 seconds per day, reaching 36,000 Vph as advertised on the dial and which is capable of offering up to 55h of power reserve.
The watch comes attached to a steel bracelet with a mainly brushed finish and a three-fold clasp, which as already mentioned can be found exclusively in the brand’s online store from March priced €7,600.
