Grand Seiko Introduces Two New Automatic Watches with GMT Function and a New Spring Drive in Pink Gold and Diamonds
Grand Seiko SBGM45 and SBGM47
Grand Seiko introduces two new dual-time zone models to its Sport Collection, the SBGM45 which comes with a navy blue dial, and the SBGM47 which comes with an olive green dial. The two new models are similar in terms of design and dimensions to the SBGE253, 255, and 257 models with the necessary differences, the most pronounced being the bezel coming from the color of the case instead of the color of the dial, no longer coming with the power reserve indicator on the dial and are equipped with automatic movement instead of the quartz movement of SBGE models.
The two new models SBGM45 and SBGM47 come with a 40.5 mm diameter and 14.4 mm thick stainless steel case, with a brushed overall finish that also extends to the 3-link steel bracelet that equips both models and the 24-hour bezel, screw crown at 4 o’clock, solid screw case back, sapphire crystal glass and 200 meters of water resistance.
On the dial, a double color inner ring marking the day and night hours, silver hands and applied hours indexes filled with LumiBrite, GMT hand and GMT inscription at 6 o’clock in red on the SBGM45 model and in orange on the SBGM47, date aperture at 4 ½ o’clock and lastly the usual brand logo applied at 12 o’clock.
Inside operates the automatic movement Caliber 9S66, of high frequency with 36,600 Vph, which offers up to 72 hours of power reserve.
