Bell & Ross expands its distinctive BR 03 Diver collection with the new Lum Outline, a limited edition of 500 pieces that reinforces the brand’s commitment to functionality, legibility, and bold design. Introduced in 2017, the BR 03 Diver series took the brand’s signature cockpit-inspired “circle in a square” design beneath the surface, combining professional dive specifications with a recognizable geometric aesthetic. The new model continues this mission — this time with a creative use of Super-LumiNova to trace and highlight key dial components.

Case & Materials

The BR 03 Diver Lum Outline features a 42 mm square case crafted from microblasted black ceramic, chosen for its lightweight, scratch-resistant, and non-reflective properties. It measures 11.20 mm in thickness and is equipped with a screw-down crown flanked by protective guards, securing its 300-meter water resistance.

The watch also features a unidirectional rotating bezel in black ceramic, marked with a 60-minute scale and emphasized by green luminescent accents for safe timing during dives — particularly the first 15 minutes, which are crucial for decompression stops.

Dial & Luminescence

The standout feature of this model is its innovative application of green Super-LumiNova (SLN). Instead of coating solid blocks of material, SLN is used here to outline the key dial elements — including the hour markers, skeletonized hands, and minute track — giving the watch an almost “neon blueprint” look in low-light conditions.

The matte black dial provides high contrast, allowing the SLN outlines to glow vividly in darkness. Hour markers take the form of bold circles and horizontal batons, while the arrow-style hands enhance immediate legibility. A date aperture at 4:30 is subtly integrated into the design, featuring green numerals on a black background to maintain the consistent color theme.

Movement

Powering the BR 03 Diver Lum Outline is the automatic BR-CAL.302-1, based on the Sellita SW300-1. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, includes 25 jewels, and offers a 54-hour power reserve.

Straps & Limited Edition Details

Each timepiece is delivered with two strap options, a black rubber strap suited for water activity and an ultra-resilient black synthetic fabric strap, perfect for rugged use on land.

Only 500 units of the BR 03 Diver Lum Outline are available worldwide, with a retail price of € 5,500.
