Glashütte Original Introduces SeaQ “Northern Tide” Limited Editions For North America

Glashütte Original has unveiled two new limited editions within its SeaQ dive watch collection, created exclusively for the North American market. Named the SeaQ Northern Tide and SeaQ Panorama Date Northern Tide, the new releases stand out with an eye-catching turquoise dégradé dial while preserving the proven specifications and in-house mechanics of the existing collection.

A Striking Turquoise Dégradé Dial

The defining feature of both limited editions is their new matte turquoise lacquer dial, which gradually darkens to black around the outer edge, creating a distinctive dégradé effect inspired by the colours of northern waters.

Protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, the dial features applied rhodium-plated hour markers and numerals, accompanied by matching hands filled with Super-LumiNova for excellent readability in low-light conditions. Small luminous hour markers further enhance legibility.

The two models differ in their date display. The standard SeaQ features a conventional date window at 3 o’clock with a white date disc and black numerals, while the larger SeaQ Panorama Date incorporates Glashütte Original’s signature oversized Panorama Date at 4 o’clock, presented with a black disc and white numerals for a more integrated appearance.

Two Sizes, Two Levels Of Diving Capability

Both watches are crafted from stainless steel and retain the familiar proportions of their respective collections.

The SeaQ comes in a versatile 39.50 mm case and offers 200 metres of water resistance, while the SeaQ Panorama Date measures 43.20 mm across and increases water resistance to 300 metres.

Both models feature a screw-down crown, a unidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a black ceramic insert, and a sapphire crystal caseback revealing the movement. As with the rest of the SeaQ family, the watches comply with both DIN 8306 and ISO 6425 standards for professional dive watches.

In-House Mechanical Movements

Powering the SeaQ Northern Tide is the manufacture Calibre 39-11, a self-winding movement offering central hours, minutes, seconds, a date display and a 40-hour power reserve.

The SeaQ Panorama Date is equipped with the in-house Calibre 36-13, which adds the brand’s trademark Panorama Date complication while extending the power reserve to an impressive 100 hours.

Both movements are assembled, adjusted and decorated by hand, showcasing traditional Glashütte finishing that can be admired through the exhibition caseback.

Bracelet And Strap Included

Each Northern Tide edition is delivered with two wearing options. Buyers receive a stainless steel bracelet equipped with Glashütte Original’s fine-adjustment clasp for quick on-the-wrist sizing, alongside an additional black synthetic strap secured by a folding clasp, providing greater versatility for everyday wear or diving activities.

Availability and Price

The Glashütte Original SeaQ Northern Tide is priced at USD 13,000, while the SeaQ Panorama Date Northern Tide retails for USD 15,500. Both models are limited to 100 pieces each and are available exclusively through Glashütte Original boutiques and authorized retailers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
