Girard-Perregaux Unveils A 39 mm Laureato Fifty With Micro-Rotor Tourbillon
Girard-Perregaux expands its Laureato Fifty collection with a new 39 mm tourbillon that brings together the model’s integrated-bracelet design and the manufacture’s long-standing expertise in mechanical watchmaking. The Laureato Fifty Tourbillon Micro-Rotor combines a steel case, a choice of textured dials and a newly developed automatic movement with a tourbillon presented through the dial.

The new model follows the permanent addition of the Laureato Fifty to the collection, introduced after the range’s 50th-anniversary celebrations. While the Laureato’s octagonal case and integrated bracelet remain central to its identity, this latest version places the emphasis firmly on its mechanical architecture.
A compact Laureato with a visible tourbillon
The stainless-steel case measures 39 mm in diameter and just 10 mm in thickness, retaining the proportions of the smaller Laureato Fifty models. Its octagonal profile is paired with an integrated bracelet in matching steel, featuring 4 mm of micro-adjustment for a more precise fit. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres.

At 6 o’clock, the tourbillon is supported by a pair of white-gold, arrow-shaped bridges. Their lyre-like arrangement references the three-bridge designs that have been part of Girard-Perregaux’s identity since the 19th century, while giving the mechanism a prominent position on the dial.
The watch is available with two Clous de Paris dial options: a blue grand feu enamel version or a dial made from 18-karat rose gold. Both retain the textured geometric pattern, with the applied GP logo and name positioned above the hands. White-gold hands and hour markers, filled with luminous material, provide the main time display.
A new automatic tourbillon calibre
The Laureato Fifty Tourbillon Micro-Rotor is powered by the new GP8410-2574, an automatic movement developed specifically for this model. Its micro-rotor winding system allows the movement to remain relatively slim while providing a 72-hour power reserve.

The calibre operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and comprises 207 components. Its functions are limited to hours, minutes and the tourbillon, keeping the architecture focused on the essentials of the watch.
Through the sapphire-crystal caseback, the movement’s finishing and construction can be examined in greater detail. The Clous de Paris motif continues onto the mainplate, creating a visual connection between the dial and the mechanical side of the watch. The micro-rotor is produced in platinum and pink gold, adding a precious-metal element to the automatic winding system.
A different expression of the Laureato Fifty
With its 39 mm case, integrated steel bracelet and restrained dial layout, the Laureato Fifty Tourbillon Micro-Rotor remains recognisably part of the Laureato family. The tourbillon and its supporting bridges, however, give it a more technical and traditionally haute horlogerie character than the collection’s simpler time-only models.

The new references join the permanent Girard-Perregaux collection and are not limited editions, although production will be restricted by manufacturing capacity. The 18-karat rose-gold dial version is priced at GBP 75,500, while the blue grand feu enamel model is priced at GBP 79,100.
