Girard-Perregaux Laureato Goes Blue For Williams Racing
Girard-Perregaux is returning to Formula 1 for the 2026 season, this time joining forces with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team. To mark the beginning of the partnership, the Swiss manufacture has introduced two new special editions based on its iconic Laureato: the Laureato Williams Edition 42 mm and the Laureato Chronograph Williams Edition.

The collaboration brings together the distinctive design language of the Laureato with visual elements inspired by the Williams FW48, the team’s 2026 Formula 1 car. Blue dominates both watches, complemented by contrasting red details and rhodium-plated elements that reinforce their technical character.
For Girard-Perregaux, the partnership also represents a return to motorsport after its recent association with the Aston Martin F1 Team, which ran from 2021 through 2025. The brand has a much longer history with motorsport, including its collaborations with Ferrari during the 1990s.
The Laureato Meets Williams Racing
First introduced in 1975, the Laureato has become one of Girard-Perregaux’s defining collections and an established example of the integrated-bracelet sports watch. Its combination of an octagonal bezel, integrated bracelet and relatively refined proportions provides the foundation for both new Williams editions.

The two watches share the same 42 mm diameter and use steel cases, while their dials take direct inspiration from the Williams FW48. The blue surfaces feature a Clous de Paris pattern, giving the watches additional depth while maintaining the sporty character expected from a Formula 1 collaboration.
Red accents reference the keyline of the Williams race car, while rhodium-plated details are used for the hands, applied hour markers and, on the chronograph, the sub-dial rings. A subtle Williams “W” appears beneath 12 o’clock, while the casebacks carry a metallised Williams emblem.
Despite their shared design language, the two models take different approaches to the Laureato concept.
Laureato Williams Edition 42mm
The Laureato Williams Edition 42 mm is the more traditional of the two, combining the collection’s time-and-date layout with the new Williams colour scheme.
Its stainless-steel case measures 42 mm in diameter and 10.68 mm in thickness. The familiar octagonal bezel frames the blue Clous de Paris dial, while the integrated steel bracelet continues the flowing profile of the case. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres, reinforcing its position as a practical sports watch rather than simply a motorsport-themed piece.

The blue treatment extends to the date disc, allowing the date aperture at 3 o’clock to integrate more naturally with the dial. Rhodium-plated hands and applied indexes provide contrast against the blue background, while the small Williams “W” at 12 o’clock adds a discreet connection to the racing team.
Powering the watch is Girard-Perregaux’s automatic calibre GP1800. The movement provides approximately 54 hours of power reserve and is housed inside the relatively slim 10.68mm case.
The Laureato Williams Edition 42mm is a special edition rather than a numbered limited edition and is priced at € 15,900.
Laureato Chronograph Williams Edition
The second model takes the Williams theme in a more technical direction with the Laureato Chronograph Williams Edition.
Also measuring 42 mm, this version uses 904L stainless steel for its case, a material particularly associated with high corrosion resistance and often used in demanding environments. The case measures 12.16 mm thick and is water-resistant to 100 metres.

Its chronograph configuration adds considerable visual complexity to the Laureato’s integrated sports-watch architecture. The blue Clous de Paris dial is surrounded by rhodium-plated chronograph rings, with matching hands and applied markers. A red seconds hand provides one of the collection’s strongest colour contrasts and echoes the red details used elsewhere on the Williams FW48-inspired design.
The chronograph controls are integrated into the case through screwed pushers, while a crown guard further emphasises the watch’s technical appearance.
Inside is Girard-Perregaux’s calibre GP03300-2451, a modular automatic chronograph movement comprising 419 components and 63 jewels. Operating at 4Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement provides approximately 46 hours of power reserve.
Like the three-hand version, the Laureato Chronograph Williams Edition is a special edition rather than a limited edition. It is priced at € 20,500.
Two Laureato , One Racing Identity
With these two watches, Girard-Perregaux has translated the visual identity of the Atlassian Williams F1 Team into two different expressions of the Laureato.

The 42 mm automatic keeps the collection’s traditional time-and-date configuration and slimmer profile, while the chronograph introduces additional functionality and a more technical case construction. Both retain the defining Laureato characteristics of the octagonal bezel, integrated bracelet and 100-metre water resistance.
The blue Clous de Paris dials, red accents and Williams branding provide the connection to Formula 1 without abandoning the fundamental architecture of the Laureato.
As the partnership begins with the 2026 Formula 1 season, these two watches establish the first chapter of Girard-Perregaux’s new relationship with Williams Racing, combining one of the manufacture’s most recognisable designs with the colours and technical inspiration of the team’s latest racing machine.
