Girard-Perregaux Adds 36mm Laureato Fifty Models For The First Time
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its iconic Laureato collection, Girard-Perregaux has unveiled four new additions to the Laureato Fifty lineup. Building on the design language introduced by last year’s anniversary limited edition, the new references join the permanent collection and introduce a new 36 mm case size alongside updated 39 mm models.
A Refined Laureato Design
The new Laureato Fifty collection consists of four stainless steel references, available in 36 mm and 39 mm case sizes. While retaining the instantly recognizable architecture of the Laureato—with its octagonal bezel resting atop a circular plinth and integrated bracelet—the latest models feature subtle refinements to the case construction. Sharper transitions, more defined facets, and enhanced finishing contribute to a more contemporary interpretation of the classic luxury sports watch.

The introduction of the 36 mm size marks a significant addition to the current Laureato range, offering a more compact option that appeals to enthusiasts seeking versatile proportions while preserving the collection’s distinctive character.
Two Distinct 36mm Variants
Among the 36 mm models, Girard-Perregaux offers two different dial executions.
The first combines a silver-toned Clous de Paris dial with a diamond-set bezel, creating an elegant and refined aesthetic. The textured dial pattern enhances light play across the surface, while a date display positioned at 3 o’clock provides everyday practicality.

The second 36 mm reference takes a more unconventional approach with a dial crafted from solid 18k pink gold. Finished with the signature Clous de Paris motif, the warm metallic tone creates a striking contrast against the stainless steel case and bracelet. The result is a distinctive salmon-colored appearance that highlights the interplay between precious metal and steel.
Larger 39mm Models
The rose gold dial is also available in a 39 mm version, offering the same visual identity in a larger format.
Joining it is what may be the most technically elaborate model in the collection: a 39 mm Laureato featuring a blue flinqué enamel dial. This traditional decorative technique involves applying translucent enamel over an engraved Clous de Paris base, allowing the texture beneath to remain visible through the rich blue surface.

Producing such dials requires considerable expertise, as the enamel must be fired multiple times while maintaining a flawless finish over the patterned foundation. The result is a dial with exceptional depth, vibrant color, and a distinctive sense of refinement.
Unlike the other models in the collection, the blue enamel version forgoes the date display entirely, presenting a clean time-only layout that places full emphasis on the craftsmanship of the dial.
In-House Automatic Movement
Powering all four Laureato Fifty references is the in-house Girard-Perregaux Calibre GP01800, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

The self-winding movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and delivers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. Finishing includes traditional Côtes de Genève decoration, while a pink gold oscillating weight adds an additional touch of luxury visible from the rear of the watch.
Pricing and Availability
The new Laureato Fifty collection is positioned firmly within the luxury sports watch segment. The 36 mm and 39 mm versions featuring the rose gold dial are both priced at CHF 20,500. The 36 mm model equipped with a diamond-set bezel carries a price of CHF 21,500, while the 39 mm reference with the blue flinqué enamel dial is the most expensive of the quartet at CHF 21,800.

With the introduction of a new 36 mm size and the addition of highly decorative dial options, Girard-Perregaux continues to expand the Laureato family while celebrating five decades of one of its most recognizable designs. The collection combines the brand’s signature integrated-bracelet architecture with refined finishing, traditional decorative crafts, and in-house mechanical movements, reinforcing the Laureato’s position within the competitive luxury sports watch category.
