Gérald Charles Updates Its Iconic Maestro Case With Meteorite
Gérald Charles expands the Maestro collection with the launch of the Maestro 2.0 Meteorite Editions, introducing new materials and technical updates while preserving the design foundations established by Gérald Genta. Founded in 2000, the brand remains closely associated with the Maestro case, one of the final original case designs created by the legendary watch designer.

The Maestro 2.0 Meteorite marks the first time meteorite has been used for a dial within the collection and is also the first Maestro model to incorporate a small seconds display, adding a new functional element to the familiar layout.
Case Design and Construction
The Maestro 2.0 Meteorite retains the compact proportions of the Maestro 2.0 generation, with a stainless-steel case measuring 39 mm in width, 41 mm in length, and 9 mm in thickness. The case is composed of 35 individual components and weighs approximately 80 grams, resulting in a balanced and ergonomic profile on the wrist.

The signature rounded octagonal shape is complemented by a stepped bezel and the characteristic concave bottom. Two versions are available: a Black Edition featuring a Darkblast-finished steel case and a Silver Edition with a fully polished steel case. Both models are fitted with a vertically brushed sapphire display caseback and offer water resistance rated at 100 metres.
Meteorite Dial Execution
The dial is crafted from Muonionalusta meteorite, a material estimated to be around 4.5 billion years old and considered one of the oldest known meteorites found on Earth. Each meteorite dial is produced using an electroerosion process, allowing extremely thin layers of material to be precisely cut without oxidation or structural alteration.

The meteorite surface, rendered in an anthracite tone for the Black Edition and a lighter white tone for the Silver Edition, is mounted on a dual-layer aluminium baseplate. On the Black Edition, the baseplate is red anodised, while the Silver Edition uses a rhodium-finished opaline surface. This underlying layer is revealed through a cut-out exploding star motif radiating from the centre of the dial, adding depth and visual contrast.
Applied Roman numerals and baton indexes are arranged in a deliberately deformed layout, appearing as though displaced by the central starburst. Both the indexes and the flat baton hands are filled with Super-LumiNova X1 to ensure legibility in low-light conditions. A star-shaped small seconds display is positioned at six o’clock, reinforcing the cosmic theme, with red and orange accents on the Black Edition and gold-coloured details on the Silver Edition.
Movement and Finishing
Powering the Maestro 2.0 Meteorite is the automatic GCA2011 calibre, developed and manufactured by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. The movement measures 3.70 mm in thickness, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and delivers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.

Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement is finished with circular graining, Côtes de Genève, and colimaçon decoration, complemented by yellow gold engravings. The oscillating weight is decorated with Gérald Charles’ signature honeycomb motif.
Straps, Availability, and Pricing
Each Maestro 2.0 Meteorite is supplied with two interchangeable straps, consisting of a rubber strap and a Velcro strap, both matched to the respective dial colour. The straps are equipped with quick-release spring bars and secured by a Grade 5 titanium buckle finished to complement the case treatment.

The Maestro 2.0 Meteorite Editions are limited to 100 pieces per version. Pricing is set at € 21,000 for the Silver Edition and € 22,000 for the Black Edition.
