Gerald Charles Introduces Two New Maestro GC Sport LE And One New Maestro Chronograph
The most recent legacy of the famous Gerald Charles Genta in the world of watchmaking is expressed by the brand Gerald Charles founded by himself in 2000, which for a long time was closed to the public, a policy that was changed a few years ago, now offering a range of exquisite watches.
Maestro GC Sport Clay and Maestro GC Sport Grass
Among the main news are the new GC Sport Clay and Maestro GC Sport Grass connecting Gerald Genta to the Tennis World. The new watches complete the trio that started last year with the original GC Sport that came with a blue dial that symbolized hard court tennis, while in the two new watches, we can find a textured brown dial that indicates the clay court and a green textured dial that represents the grass court.
The watches that wear the same asymmetrical square case of 39mm by 41.7mm common to the entire collection, come here in a Grade 5 Titanium with left crown (so as not to hurt the tennis player’s wrist) and open case back.
Textured dials come with a gradient effect that becomes darkened from the centre outwards, Applied Hour Markers and Numerals that together with the hands and minutes are filled with luminescent material, and last a window dates from 6 am.
Inside are the Caliber GCA 3002 developed in partnership with the Swiss Movement expert Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, reaching 28,800 VPH and offering up to 50 hours of power reserve thanks to its two barrels.
Watches are supplied with vulcanized rubber straps with the texture of the famous “Clous de Paris” pattern in brown and green for the Clay and Grass versions.
The two tennis-inspired models are offered in limited editions of 200 pieces and each of these models can be purchased for a price of €17,100.
Maestro GC3.0 – TN Chronograph
The other novelty is the GC3.0-TN Chronograph which also features a Grade 5 Titanium case with a mirror-polished finish. The crown decorated with the “Clous of Paris” is positioned at three o’clock and accompanied by two pushers positioned angularly following the silhouette of the case.
At blue sunburst dial, applied hour markers and hands filled with Super-Luminova and a three totalizers layout at 3-6 hours unfolded in a small-seconds, 12-hour counter and 30-minute counter.
The Calibre GCA3022/12 automatic movement brings the chronograph to life operating 28,800 VPH and offers the same 50 hours of reserve.
The watch comes with the same type of vulcanized rubber strap and in the same “royal” blue as the dial.
The watch can be purchased at official brand stores or authorized retailers for €23,800.
