Furlan Marri’s New Disco Volante Combines Vintage Aesthetics With Modern Craftsmanship
Furlan Marri again reinforces its expertise in producing vintage-inspired watches with the new round-case Disco Volante with hidden lugs.
The retro-style watches come in three colour variants on the dial, the Havana in salmon and brown, the Celeste in shades of blue and white and the Verde in green and beige.
Housed in a stepped polished stainless steel case, measuring 38mm in diameter and 8.95mm thick thanks to its ultra-thin Caliber, it features a sapphire crystal, a crown that sinks full into the case, an open case back and 50m water resistance.
On the sector dial, we can find applied baton hour markers at 3-9-12 o’clock printed in the remaining positions and interspersed with Arabic numerals, a recessed small seconds at 6 o’clock and two syringe hands, which like the outliners sectors, are filled with Old Radium or BGW9 Super-LumiNova.
Inside runs the old hand-wound Peseux 7001 from 1971, which is just 2.50mm tall, operating 21,600 Vph, offering up to 42 hours of power reserve and which comes decorated with Côtes de Genève on the bridges.
The set includes two vegetable-tanned Italian leather straps in the same shades of the dial with steel pin buckle and arrives with a price tag of CHF 2,500 plus tax.
