Independent watchmaker Furlan Marri continues to expand its Disco Volante line with a new and striking addition: the Disco Diamonds Onyx. This model brings together classic proportions, a refined mechanical movement, and a distinctive dial enhanced with lab-grown diamonds, all within a design language inspired by early 20th-century watchmaking.
Case and Design
The Disco Diamonds Onyx retains the signature 38 mm case size of the Disco Volante collection, with a slim 8.95 mm profile that ensures comfortable wear on the wrist. Its design includes a stepped bezel, recessed crown, and hidden lugs, which emphasize the smooth, continuous lines of the case. Both the front and back feature sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating, while alternating polished and brushed surfaces provide additional visual depth. Water resistance is rated to 50 meters.
Dial Details
The dial is the standout element of this edition. Crafted from black onyx, it features a minimalist yet luxurious presentation. A subtle sector-style track frames the layout, while select hour markers are set with baguette-cut lab-grown diamonds. These diamond accents add refinement without disrupting the balanced aesthetic. The leaf-shaped hands are fitted with Super-LumiNova inserts for low-light visibility, and a small seconds sub-dial is positioned at 6 o’clock.
Movement
Powering the watch is the hand-wound Peseux 7001 calibre, a slim mechanical movement known for its reliability and elegance. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it delivers a 42-hour power reserve. The movement has been enhanced with hand-finishing on select components and can be viewed through the exhibition caseback.
Bracelet and Strap Options
In keeping with its vintage inspiration, the Disco Diamonds Onyx is delivered on a finely woven mesh bracelet that complements the character of the watch. For a more understated look, a black leather strap with a pin buckle is also included.
