From Summer-Ready Shore To Limited-Edition Edge: The Latest Citizen Tsuyosa Releases
Since its debut in 2022, the Tsuyosa line has become one of the strongest pillars in Citizen’s accessible automatic range. With its integrated-bracelet aesthetic, compact proportions and in-house movement, it has consistently offered strong value in the sporty-chic segment. For 2026, Citizen expands the concept in two distinct directions: the more robust Tsuyosa Shore and the creative Tsuyosa x seconde/seconde/ limited edition.
Citizen Tsuyosa Shore
The Tsuyosa Shore builds on the familiar 40 mm architecture while introducing practical upgrades that reinforce its sport-oriented positioning.

The stainless steel case retains the collection’s recognizable 1980s-inspired silhouette, defined by the interplay of brushed surfaces and polished accents. The crown remains discreetly integrated at 4 o’clock, maintaining the clean profile that has become a signature of the model. A sapphire crystal protects the dial and incorporates a magnifier over the date window, while the caseback remains screwed and transparent, offering a view of the movement inside.
The most significant visual and functional update is the addition of a unidirectional rotating bezel with a 60-minute scale set into a metallic insert. This component not only alters the watch’s overall character, giving it a more assertive and summery presence, but also introduces practical timing capability. The bezel insert is color-matched to the dial, ensuring visual coherence across the collection. Water resistance has been increased to 100 meters, doubling that of the standard smooth-bezel Tsuyosa models, making the Shore better suited to swimming and water-based activities. As a result of the added bezel structure, the case thickness increases slightly to 12.50 mm, compared to 11.70 mm on the classic version.

The dial continues to feature a sunray-brushed finish, with applied hour markers and hands treated with luminous material for improved legibility in low-light conditions. The minute track has been refined with more detailed graduations, and the handset has been subtly revised, now featuring larger hour and minute hands alongside a lollipop-style seconds hand. These updates enhance readability while reinforcing the sportier identity of the Shore models.
Four variations are introduced. Two come in stainless steel with either a navy blue or a lighter turquoise marine blue dial and matching bezel. A more vibrant version pairs a coral red dial and bezel with a two-tone case and bracelet featuring partial yellow gold-colored plating. Finally, a bolder execution combines a moss green dial and bezel with full yellow gold-colored plating on the case and bracelet. All models are fitted with the integrated-style three-link bracelet and secured by a folding clasp.

Powering the Tsuyosa Shore is Citizen’s in-house Caliber 8210 automatic movement. Beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz) and delivering approximately 42 hours of power reserve, this proven workhorse movement offers central hours, minutes, seconds and a date display. It remains visible through the exhibition caseback and continues to underline the collection’s strong value proposition. The Tsuyosa Shore joins the permanent collection with European pricing starting at € 329 for the stainless steel versions.

Citizen Tsuyosa x seconde/seconde/
While the Shore models emphasize functionality, the Tsuyosa x seconde/seconde/ focuses on dial execution and mechanical presentation.

Developed in collaboration with French artist Romaric André, this limited edition is based on the standard 40 mm Tsuyosa platform. The stainless steel case maintains its alternating brushed and polished finishes, sapphire crystal with magnifier over the date, recessed crown at 4 o’clock and 50-meter water resistance. The overall thickness remains approximately 11.70 mm, preserving the proportions of the classic model. A screw-down exhibition caseback reveals the automatic movement within.

The defining feature of this edition is the reinterpretation of the Tsuyosa’s sword-shaped hand. Here, the minute hand is rendered as a pixel-styled sword, transforming a traditional design cue into a literal graphic element. The hour markers appear visually “split,” as though cut by the blade, yet they remain fully functional and coated with luminous material. Beneath this playful intervention lies a gradient sunray-brushed dial, which adds depth and contrast to the design. Additional collaborative detailing is visible on the caseback and clasp, reinforcing the limited-edition character of the watch.

Inside, the model is powered by the same Caliber 8210 automatic movement, operating at 3Hz and offering approximately 42 hours of power reserve. However, this edition features aesthetic refinements, including an openworked rotor and silver-toned bridges and plates, enhancing the visual presentation through the tinted exhibition caseback.
Limited to 3,600 pieces, the Tsuyosa x seconde/seconde/ is delivered on the standard three-link steel bracelet and is priced at € 449.
