Frederique Constant Unveils Two New Highlife Chronographs For 25th Anniversary
This year, Frederique Constant celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Highlife collection by bringing two new chronograph models.
The Sport watch with an integrated bracelet and an affordable price appeared for the first time in 1999 just before the turn of the century and it took more than two decades to present the first chronograph version, which would only appear in 2022. The collection is now growing with two new variants, one as a limited edition featuring a green Panda dial and another standard in a rose gold case with a blue inverted Panda dial.
The two new additions come with a 41mm by 14.22mm Tonneau-shaped case in steel or rose gold, with a polished and brushed finish, smooth bezel, sapphire crystal on both sides, fluted crown with the brand’s signature and flanked by two horizontal pushers and 100m of watertightness.
The dial presents some updates, featuring an embossed globe background with a layout of three sub-dials substantiated in a 30-minute register, a 12-hour counter and a running seconds at 3-6-9 hours matching the minute track chapter ring, a date window at 4:30, and applied hour markers and hands all files with Super-LumiNova.
The limited edition comes with a stainless steel case and a matte silver dial with green registers while the permanent one comes in a rose gold case and a matte blue dial with silver registers.
Inside, they are once again powered by the 26-jewel Caliber FC-391 automatic movement, with a column wheel, reaching 28,800 Vph and offering up to 60 hours of power reserve, which can be seen through the rear sapphire crystal decorated with Côtes de Genéve on the bridges and gold rotor.
The limited edition of 1,888 pieces in addition to the integrated steel bracelet arrives with an additional green calf strap, the rose gold edition that joins the permanent collection comes attached to a blue leather strap with a crocodile pattern, with prices varying between €3,750 and €4,250 respectively.
