Frederique Constant Teams Again With Peter Speak To Introduce New Slimline Perpetual Calendar Manufacture
Frederique Constant for the third time since 2022 presents the third iteration of its Slimline Perpetual Calendar Manufacture with Peter Speake which this time combines a steel case with a gray dial.
Peter Speake is an English watchmaker, known for his work at Renaud&Papi and for being the founder of Speake-Marin, which in 2022 presented a limited edition of 99 pieces of this perpetual calendar watch that comes with a dial in shades of brown and blue, in 2023 brought a new limited edition of 35 pieces with a steel case with black-coated PVD and a black dial and now a new limited edition of 135 pieces arrives that displays the same skeletonized dial but now in anthracite tones.
The ingenious watch once again wears a stainless steel case measuring 42mm in diameter, 12.05mm thick and 47mm lug-to-lug distance, which comes with a fully polished finish, sapphire crystal on the front and back, onion-shaped crown at 3 o’clock and several push buttons underneath the case profile through which it is possible to adjust the calendar and finally, a water resistance of 30m.
The skeletonized dial, as already revealed, comes in anthracite tones with special emphasis on the flange and sub-dials rings that come with white inscriptions in order to facilitate their reading and whose tone also extends to the skeletonized hands that in the registers come with red tips, blue screws and gold sprockets. The four registers come with a date pointer at 3 o’clock, a moon-phase display at 6 o’clock, a weekday ring at 9 o’clock and a month indicator at 12 o’clock that also includes a leap-year aperture in the February dot that in leap years appears painted in red.
It is through the rear sapphire crystal that we can observe the Caliber FC-775 automatic movement, which is decorated with Côtes de Genève on the main anthracite bridge while the skeletonized central rotor comes in blue to match the tones of the screws. Reaching 28,800 Vph and offering up to 38 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes attached to an anthracite textile strap on the outside and blue leather on the inside that now can be purchased for € 11,995.
