Frederique Constant (FC) debuted this year for the first time at Watches and Wonders and we were there to find out what’s new.
It is worth highlighting the remarkable work of the watchmaking brand, which has been in existence for just over three decades, counting in its history 30 In-house Calibers (almost one for each year of life) and countless quality watches at very interesting prices.
During the fair FC showed several watches of which we highlight three here.
This beautiful and elegant watch comes mounted in a 39mm diameter by 10.99mm thick rose gold case, features straight lugs, a smooth bezel, sapphire glass front and case back, onion-shape crown and 30m water resistance.
The grey sunray dial features applied gold hour markers and hands, and a gold-framed 60-second tourbillon at 6 o’clock.
Inside it comes equipped with the In-house automatic movement FC-980, which runs at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve, which can be observed through the open case back.
The watch is attached to a brown alligator leather strap with a gold folding clasp.
It is a limited edition of 150 pieces that can be purchased for €25,925.
After the full stainless steel version with a blue dial, there are now two new arrivals and one of them in gold.
The two new additions to the collection are unchanged, maintaining the same case design with dimensions of 41mm by 12.9mm. One of the new variants comes with a rose gold case and blue dial and the other features a steel case with a brown dial.
On the sunray dial with the globe pattern the same layout, three central hands, applied hour markers matching de case material, a date display with a hand at 6 o’clock, a bicolour ring with 24 hours of a second time zone and two outer rings with the time zones of the main cities in the world.
Inside there is no news either, continuing to operate the In-house automatic movement FC-718, which operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve.
The two new watches come with an alligator leather strap matching the dial and an additional rubber strap for the gold variant and a steel bracelet for the steel variant.
It should also be noted that the gold variant is a limited edition of 35 pieces that can be purchased for a price of €25,995, while the regular steel version comes with a price of €4,295.
