Frederique Constant Debuts The New Classic Power Reserve Big Date And Its 31st Caliber

Frederique Constant, who celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, presents the new Classic Power Reserve Big Date watch, which, in addition to the complications, marks the debut of its 31st In-house Caliber FC-735, a remarkable milestone for a brand with just over three decades of existence.

The new watch with the three centre hands, a moon-phase display at 6 o’clock and a power reserve indicator at 9 now also adds a sizeable double frame date aperture at 2:30.

The round case measuring 40mm in diameter and 12.19mm thick features a polished finish, sapphire glass front, onion-shaped crown at 3 o’clock, through which it is possible to settle all its complications, and open case back.

The new watch arrives in the form of four variants, two of which are limited editions, a 35-piece in a platinum case with a blue meteorite dial attached to a blue alligator leather strap, and a 350-piece in a rose gold case with a sunburst grey dial accompanied by a brown alligator strap. The two regular versions come with a stainless steel case with sunburst blue or silver dials and matching straps.

As already announced, the new FC-735 automatic movement operates, reaching 28,800 Bph and offering up to 50 hours of power reserve, which can be seen through the rear sapphire glass with emphasis on the skeletonized oscillating mass.

Prices range from €4,795 for the two regular steel versions, to €17,995 and €25,995 for the two limited editions in rose gold and platinum respectively.
