Five Watches used in Tv Series by Actors
Today we decided to bring you five watches used by actors in TV series, which we believe are all still available on the market at a good price, so here we go:
Blindspot
In 2015 the series Blindspot premiered on TV, talks about a mysterious tattooed woman left naked inside a travel bag in New York, the plot unfolds around the investigation carried out by the FBI on tattoos that reveal clues about crimes and obscure organizations. One of its main characters is Kurt Weller played by the actor Sullivan Stapleton, in the program he is an FBI Special Agent who took charge of the investigations after seeing his name tattooed on the body of the character Jane Doe, his missing childhood friend.
In the first season, we can see Kurt Weller wearing a Casio G-Shock DW-9051 on his wrist and understand why, this character is involved in many episodes in shooting scenes and tactical operations and what better option for these scenarios than a G-Shock?
This watch is no longer available at most retailers, but after some research on the web, we found that it is still available at an Asian retailer, so if you’re interested, go ahead.
Jack Ryan
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is a TV series launched in 2018, in which John Krasinski wears the skin of Jack Ryan, a CIA analyst who, after discovering several suspicious financial movements, gets involved in the mission of detaining and capturing an Islamist extremist named Suleiman.
Throughout the TV show, we can see Jack Ryan wearing a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto Chrono H71626735 on his wrist, the black PVD coating gives it a tough appearance, but also a set of other features like the large crown, the two pushers that control the chronograph function, the two subdials at 12 and 6 o’clock and the second’s hand with a redpoint.
This watch model is still available in the stores and if you want to purchase one, you can easily do so.
Devs
Devs is a TV series created in 2020 by the controversial Alex Garland, it is a thriller that develops around the mysterious death of software engineer Sergei Pavlov played by Karl Glusman, on the first day of his work. This psychological thriller addresses topics such as artificial intelligence and beliefs, challenges us to question the will or fear of moving forward in the future.
In the first episode, we can spot the character Sergei Pavlov with the Seiko SKX007, a watch that we suggest several times for its quality and that we also had the opportunity to review in another article.
The SKX line has been discontinued since 2019, but it is still possible to purchase from some retailers, despite the fact that their prices are rising and it will probably be difficult to find one below €500.
Homeland
Homeland is probably the most well-known TV series among the others we talked about in this article, it is an award-winning series that premiered in 2011 and it lasted 8 seasons, it is a spy drama about power games between the United States, through the CIA and mainly the Middle East. The series develops around its main character Carrie Mathison played by the talented Claire Danes, who wears the skin of a CIA agent with bipolar disorder.
It was this year, in the last season, that we saw Carrie Mathison wearing a Hamilton Jazzmaster H42211655.
About this watch, it has a quartz movement, a stainless-steel case 30mm in diameter and sapphire glass, silver dial with hour indexes and a date window at 6 o’clock and 50m water resistance. This watch is still available on the market and can be found at a brand retailer.
Yellowstone
Yellowstone is the last TV series covered in this article, and it is a modern western drama starring Kevin Costner who plays the role of John Dutton, who owns a large cattle ranch. Over the 3 seasons so far, the drama revolves around the land dispute by the Dutton family, the land developers and the Indian reservation.
In season 3, we can see Jamie Dutton played by Wes Bentley when he was younger using a Casio AE-1200WH-1AVEF World Time. Interestingly, you can see in the image above that the actor is wearing the watch upside down.
This Casio World Time has already been commented on in another article, and you can read it here. This watch remains available at Casio stores as at many other retailers.
