First Tourbillon In The Goldfeather Collection: Credor GBCF999 Limited Edition
Credor, the high-end division of Seiko founded in 1974, continues to push the boundaries of traditional Japanese watchmaking with the introduction of the Goldfeather Tourbillon Limited Edition GBCF999. This model marks a significant milestone for the brand, as it is the first time a tourbillon has been integrated into the Goldfeather line—an ultra-thin mechanical series that showcases refined elegance through artisanal excellence and technical innovation.
Case and Dimensions
The GBCF999 is presented in a finely polished 950 platinum case, measuring 38.60 mm in diameter and only 8.60 mm in height, adhering to the Goldfeather series’ reputation for thin, dress-oriented timepieces. Its construction reflects subtle sophistication, including a stepped bezel-lug transition and a compact, knurled crown engraved with the Credor emblem. The front is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal, while a flat sapphire exhibition caseback allows full visibility of the decorated movement.

Artistic Dial Composition
The dial is a visual showcase of Japanese decorative arts. At its foundation is a base of deep black Urushi lacquer, onto which traditional techniques are layered. The dial features an intricate motif of birds in flight, created using raden (Mother-of-Pearl inlay) and maki-e (gold powder sprinkling), both executed by expert Japanese artisans. In addition, the kirikane technique—where gold is cut into fine shapes—is used to enhance the visual dynamism of the design.

An aperture on the left side of the dial reveals the tourbillon mechanism, secured by an openworked gold bridge. Around the opening, a radial pattern of gold dots evokes a stylized setting sun, reinforcing the natural theme.
Tourbillon Movement
Powering the GBCF999 is the manual-winding Credor Caliber 6850, an evolution of the Caliber 6830. This updated movement integrates a tourbillon escapement and features an increased 60-hour power reserve, made possible by a larger barrel and mainspring. The movement architecture is intentionally asymmetrical, shifted within the case to accommodate an additional decorative feather motif—executed in raden and maki-e—crafted from the iridescent shell of the Japanese Yakougai (green turban snail).

Visible through the sapphire caseback, the bridges are hand-engraved with a radial feather pattern, inspired by avian primary feathers used for flight. The tourbillon cage is visible from both sides of the case, highlighting its central mechanical role and aesthetic contribution.
Strap and Limited Availability
The watch is paired with a black crocodile leather strap, free from visible stitching, and fitted with a 950/900 platinum triple-fold clasp featuring a push-button release. Only 10 examples of the Goldfeather Tourbillon GBCF999 will be produced. It is priced at € 190,000.
