British watchmaker Farer continues to push its creative boundaries with the release of the , the third generation of its signature three-hand timepieces. Known for its daring use of color and refined Swiss construction, Farer has refreshed the line with bolder dials, improved case engineering, and upgraded performance—while maintaining its approachable pricing.

Robust Yet Elegant Case Design

The Series III features a 39 mm stainless steel case that now measures 11.80 mm thick, giving it a more substantial wrist presence while retaining its refined proportions. The case combines polished surfaces and brushed lugs, offering a dynamic interplay of finishes. A notable functional upgrade is the introduction of a screw-down bronze-capped crown, which raises the water resistance from 50 metres to 100 metres. The monobloc middle case further enhances durability while preserving the clean, minimalist lines for which Farer is known.

Three Distinctive Dial Variants

Farer has placed special emphasis on dial artistry for this third series, employing a multi-stage process that includes texturing, gradient spray painting, multiple lacquer layers, and the application of luminous elements. Each of the three models draws inspiration from historic British exploration vessels and carries its own distinct character.

The Alert model presents a deep red dial with a rugged fissured texture that emulates rock formations. Its large white Arabic numerals appear in varying sizes, contrasting sharply against the dark backdrop. Glossy white pencil hands sweep across the dial, and a burgundy central seconds hand tipped with a white Farer ‘A’ adds a subtle signature touch.

The Venture model opts for a crackled gradient blue dial inspired by shifting polar hues. It features slim white baton indices made from Lumicast—a mix of ceramic and Super-LumiNova—and glossy blue luminescent hands that echo the tones of the dial. The blue central seconds hand is finished with a peach-coloured Farer ‘A’.

Meanwhile, the Aurora stands out with a copper-toned flinqué-style guilloché dial that captures and reflects light with a warm glow. Around the dial runs a detailed black minute track and a slim black ring framing its centre. The applied Arabic numerals are also made from Lumicast, while the glossy black hands are filled with X2 Super-LumiNova, and the black seconds hand carries the brand’s emblematic ‘A’ at its tip.

All three models offer excellent legibility in low light thanks to the use of X2 Super-LumiNova or Lumicast elements, which provide long-lasting luminous performance.

Swiss-Made Automatic Performance

Inside, each watch houses the La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement in soignée (top-grade) finishing. This calibre offers a robust 68-hour power reserve and includes a stop-seconds function for precise time-setting. The movement’s rotor is decorated with the Farer logo, underscoring the brand’s attention to detail and commitment to high-quality Swiss craftsmanship.

Pricing and Availability

The Farer Three Hand Series III is priced at € 1,185 and comes mounted on a leather strap. Buyers can also opt for a quick-release brushed stainless steel bracelet, available separately for an additional cost.
