Farer Introduces Special Edition To Moonphase Collection
The Farer Moonphase collection which comes in 3 regular variants adds now a special edition.
Each of the watches, in addition to presenting a different colour palette on the dial, also comes with accents in different shapes.
On the outside, the four new watches wear a cushion-type 316L stainless steel case with dimensions of 38.50mm in diameter, and 10.50mm in thickness, which in the special edition adds 1mm in height and 43.80mm lug-to-lug distance. The case comes with a mainly polished finish, a guilloché engraved pattern on the sides, a smooth bezel, sapphire crystal on the front and back, a fluted crown at 3 o’clock with a Cooper cap and the brand’s signature, and 50m of water resistance.
On the dial, we find a large moon phase aperture between 9 and 3 o’clock with a moon filled with Super-LumiNova, a date window at 6 o’clock matching the tone of the dial, applied ceramic indexes that, like the polished Alpha hands, come filled with the same luminescent material mentioned above and also a centre seconds hand with the Farer “A” tip.
Among the regular editions, we have the Eddington which comes with a leaping salmon dial, Roman numerals, a white moon on a blue background and a blue tip seconds hand, then we have the Burbidge which comes with a sunray light blue dial, baton hour markers, a pink moon with a blue background and a blue seconds hand tip, lastly among the regular variants we have the Halley which comes with a midnight blue dial, Arabic numerals, a yellow moon on a light blue sky and a red seconds hand tip.
Added to the collection is the new Baily special edition of just 200 pieces, which comes with a Natural Aventurine dial, which means that each watch comes with a unique dial, Arabic numerals, a hand-painted yellow moon with a matching background and a seconds hand with white tip.
Inside, the watches are powered by the Elaboré Grade Sellita SW288-1 Ma manual movement, with 18 jewels that operate at 28,800 Vph and offer up to 45 hours of power reserve.
The watches arrive attached to a leather strap with different colour and texture options or a steel bracelet with a folding clasp. The base price of the regular versions is €1,795 while the special edition is €1,925, to which €180 is added if the option is for the steel bracelet.
