Farer Enhances World Timer Lineup With Three Fresh Iterations

The British watch brand Farer has just presented 3 “new” World Timers that also come with a “Lifting” face and more. 

The Farer World Timer, which has been part of the brand’s collection since 2019, is one of the brand’s best sellers, and we understand why, combining a beautiful dial with a 24 time-zones inner bezel in a moderately sized steel case. 

The improvements now introduced include elegant Alpha hands, three new cities on the bezel that now include Chicago, Beijing and Bienne instead of Mexico City, Hong Kong and Paris respectively, which certainly won’t leave everyone happy, and finally a “new ” internal movement that supports the rotating central GMT disc. 

As for the three new variants, they are headed by the new Foxe with a pretty green dial and the return of the Roché with a midnight blue dial and the Markham with a white one. 

The watches once again embrace the round steel case measuring 39mm in diameter and 11mm thick, which comes with a brushed finish on the surfaces and sandblasted and polished on the sides, smooth bezel, sapphire crystal, fluted crowns at 3 o’clock that controls the time function , date and central 24-hour GMT disk while the 10 o’clock one handles the inner bezel. Open back case and 100m water resistance. 

The dial, which as already mentioned now features a central 24-hour GMT disc, is designed with a world hemisphere, Claus de Paris pattern with applied hour markers and hands all filled with Super-LumiNova, a tiny round date window at 3 o’clock and a bezel with 24 different time zones. 

The Roché II features white hour markers, a 24-hour GMT ring and bezel whose same elements on the Markham II are painted in blue and both with the daytime hours demarcated in red. While on the new Foxe the dial comes with white GMT hour markers and central disc and the night-time hours in black. 

Inside, the modified Sellita SW330-1 automatic movement now runs, which also comes with an increased power reserve of 50 hours. 

The watches come attached to a wrinkled leather strap that matches the tones of the dial and can now be purchased for the price of USD 1,695.
