Fading Into Perfection: Bentley Reveals Ombre Paint Finish
Bentley Motors has taken bespoke craftsmanship to new heights with the introduction of Ombre by Mulliner, one of the most intricate paint finishes the brand has ever offered. Handcrafted at the marque’s Dream Factory in Crewe, this innovative finish creates a seamless fade between two colors across the length of the car, delivering a truly dramatic visual effect.

The first creation to showcase this technique is a Continental GT Speed, revealed at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. Its bodywork flows from a shimmering Topaz at the front into a deep Windsor Blue at the rear, with the fade carefully aligned to the car’s muscular rear haunches. Even the 22-inch wheels echo the transition, mirroring the paintwork in a perfectly balanced design.

Applying the Ombre finish is no small feat. Two master paint technicians spend more than 50 hours blending layers of tinted paint, adjusting in real time to ensure a flawless transition. Each commission will therefore be one of a kind, while maintaining Mulliner’s exacting standards.

Inside, the gradient theme continues. The front cabin is dressed in Topaz leather, gradually fading into Beluga hides at the rear, accented with Dragonfly stitching for contrast. Satin-finished Beluga veneers, Bentley’s Rotating Display, and the Naim for Bentley audio system complete the luxurious, detail-rich interior.

Originally developed as a one-off commission, Ombre by Mulliner is now being offered in three curated color combinations, available to order through Bentley’s global retailer network. It marks yet another example of the brand’s dedication to personalization and artistry in modern automotive design.
