Everything You Need To Know About The New Unimatic UT1-PD Prodiver
Unimatic expands its Toolwatch collection with the new UT1-PD Prodiver, a purpose-built dive watch that combines the Italian brand’s minimalist design language with a specification sheet focused on durability and reliability. Limited to just 250 pieces, the new model also introduces a more traditional dive-watch configuration to the collection.
A Purpose-Built 300-Metre Diver
The UT1-PD is housed in a sandblasted stainless steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter, increasing to 41.50 mm when the bezel overhang is taken into account. Thickness is 13.60 mmincluding the crystal, while the lug-to-lug distance is 49 mm.

Its specifications are clearly designed around underwater use. The watch offers 300 metres of water resistance, a screw-down crown and a unidirectional 120-click rotating bezel, providing the functionality expected from a professional-oriented dive watch.
The sandblasted treatment gives the case a completely matte appearance while also fitting the utilitarian character of the Toolwatch family. Drilled lug holes further emphasise the practical nature of the design and make strap changes easier.
A More Traditional Dive-Watch Dial
The UT1-PD features a matte dial with crisp white printing and a combination of round, triangular and rectangular hour markers. This represents a change from the Arabic numerals used on the previous version, giving the new model a more conventional dive-watch appearance.

Visibility in low-light conditions is supported by Super-LumiNova C1, applied to the hour markers, hour and minute hands, and the luminous pip on the bezel.
The bezel itself is another important change for the model. Rather than a countdown-style configuration, the UT1-PD uses a conventional dive bezel with a 120-click unidirectional mechanism, allowing elapsed dive time to be monitored.
Quartz Reliability
Powering the UT1-PD is the Seiko VH31A quartz movement. While mechanical movements remain an important part of traditional watchmaking, quartz is particularly well suited to a toolwatch where accuracy, reliability and low-maintenance operation are priorities.

Unimatic has also developed its case around the movement’s protection. The UT1-PD incorporates the brand’s 360º Protection System, designed to surround and shield the movement against shocks and impacts.
Built to MIL-STD-810H Standards
One of the defining characteristics of Unimatic’s Toolwatch collection is its focus on environmental resistance. The UT1-PD is designed to meet the MIL-STD-810H specifications established by the U.S. Department of Defense, a standard covering a range of environmental and durability tests used to evaluate technical equipment.

This approach makes the Toolwatch concept about more than water resistance. The watch is designed to withstand demanding conditions, with its construction and movement protection aimed at providing additional resistance to the shocks and environmental stresses associated with intensive use.
Completing the exterior is a screw-down caseback decorated with a Prodiver dive-mask motif, adding a subtle visual reference to the watch’s intended purpose.
Black TPU Strap
The UT1-PD is supplied on a black TPU two-piece strap, a practical choice for a dedicated dive watch. The material is suited to wet environments and complements the completely utilitarian character of the sandblasted case.
Limited to 250 Pieces
The Unimatic UT1-PD Prodiver is limited to 250 pieces, making this a relatively small production run within the brand’s Toolwatch collection.

With its 40mm case, 300-metre water resistance, traditional 120-click dive bezel, quartz movement, reinforced movement protection and MIL-STD-810H-oriented construction, the UT1-PD is clearly designed around function rather than decoration.
The watch is priced at € 650 through Unimatic’s website.
