Every Day A New Hue: NOMOS Presents 31 Special Edition Tangente Watches
NOMOS, the German watch brand from Glashütte, which this year participates for the first time in Watches And Wonders, marks its presence at the fair with no less than 31 new watches, one for each day of the month where colours reign.
In total, there are 5,425 watches produced as each of the 31 new watches are limited edition of 175 pieces each in honour of 175 Years Watchmaking Glashütte.
The model chosen is the unsuspecting Tangente, probably its best-known model, which here comes in a 38mm variant with a date window.
There are many colour combinations and include not only the main dial but also the small seconds sub-dial, the date window and the inner bezel, as the brand itself says, the colours reflect individuality and diversity.
The watch comes with its usual configuration, wearing a polished round stainless steel case with thin and straight lugs, sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with the brand’s signature and 30m water resistance. On the dial, we find the minimalist design with two centre hands, Arabic and baton hour markers, a small seconds at 6 o’clock and a date aperture. Inside runs the In-house manual movement Caliber DUW4101 which has a patent associated with the date window ring, since instead of running within the movement it runs outside around it, featuring 23 jewels and offering up to 42 hours of power reserve.
The watches are priced at €1,925, which means they are €175 cheaper than the standard version, not only because of the aforementioned 175 Years Watchmaking Glashütte but also because the brand wants mechanical watches to be accessible to the greatest number of people. The watch also comes with a second bonus, which is the sapphire crystal on the case back without adding value to the price, which the brand sees as an investment.
The watches come attached to a grey nylon strap with a steel pin buckle with the brand’s signature and individual names for each of the 31 new Tangents.
