Elegance In Motion: Raymond Weil’s New Toccata Heritage Collection
Following the success of the vintage-inspired Millesime line, Raymond Weil expands its “Heritage” family with the new Toccata Heritage Collection — a contemporary reinterpretation of classic elliptical-shaped dress watches. The collection pays tribute to the elegance of mid-century design while offering modern precision and practicality.
A New Take on the Toccata Design
Although the Toccata name has long been part of Raymond Weil’s catalogue, the new Toccata Heritage introduces a fresh design language. The case adopts an elliptical or oval shape, recalling styles from the late 1960s and early 1970s that became icons of understated elegance. Measuring 33 mm in width, 38 mm in length, and only 6.95 mm thick, the watch presents a refined and compact profile that fits perfectly into the realm of traditional dress watches. Unlike some of the lugless designs typical of that era, Raymond Weil integrates slim, polished lugs that enhance the watch’s proportions and give it a stronger presence on the wrist.

The case is offered in polished stainless steel or with a rose gold PVD coating, both featuring a fluted crown and a sapphire crystal that follows the contours of the case. Water resistance is rated at 30 metres, ensuring the watch can handle everyday wear while remaining firmly within the dress category.
Elegant Dial Options
The mechanical Toccata Heritage is available in three dial variants, each highlighting a different expression of classic elegance. The first features a silver sunray dial paired with a polished steel case, while the second presents a deep blue sunray finish, also in polished steel. The third version stands out with a light copper-toned dial matched to a gold PVD case, giving the watch a warmer and more vintage-inspired appearance.

All dials feature slender, polished Dauphine-style hands and applied hour markers, accompanied by a printed minute track around the outer edge. The fine sunray-brushed finish radiating from the centre plays beautifully with light, bringing depth and texture to the minimalist design. Apart from the Raymond Weil logo beneath the 12 o’clock position, the dial remains entirely clean, emphasizing the purity of the two-hand layout.
Slim Hand-Wound Movement
Powering the Toccata Heritage is the Calibre RW4100, a Swiss-made hand-wound movement based on the reliable Sellita SW210-1. Measuring 25.60 mm in diameter and just 3.35 mm in height, the movement contributes directly to the watch’s notably slim profile. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a power reserve of approximately 45 hours.

The movement can be admired through the oval sapphire crystal caseback, a design detail that echoes the shape of the front crystal. The finishing is restrained yet elegant, featuring brushed bridges, blued screws, and engraved details filled with blue lacquer. The choice of a hand-wound calibre reinforces the watch’s classical inspiration, inviting the wearer to engage directly with the mechanics of timekeeping.
Straps and Bracelet Options
The Toccata Heritage comes fitted with leather straps that complement each dial color — grey for the silver and copper models, and blue for the version with the blue dial. Each strap is secured with a polished steel pin buckle, and the use of curved spring bars allows the strap to follow the natural lines of the case, achieving a clean and integrated look. For those who prefer a more contemporary appearance, the blue dial variant is also available on a multi-link stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.
Quartz Variants
Alongside the mechanical editions, Raymond Weil is also introducing five smaller quartz versions of the Toccata Heritage, designed with the same elegant oval case proportions but in a more compact size. These models measure 31.50 mm x 5.10mm x 36mm, combining refined dimensions with the convenience of quartz precision.

Two of the new models feature stainless steel cases with rose gold PVD-coated silver dials, one of which is enhanced by a bezel set with 60 lab-grown diamonds. The remaining three are crafted in stainless steel: two come with blue dials, offered with or without a diamond-set bezel, and the fifth model features a burgundy dial framed by a diamond-set bezel. Together, these quartz models extend the Toccata Heritage line with options that blend timeless style and everyday versatility.
Availability and Pricing
The Raymond Weil Toccata Heritage Collection is now part of the brand’s permanent lineup. The stainless steel version with a leather strap is priced at € 1,495, while the blue dial model on a matching steel bracelet costs € 1,595. The gold PVD version with a copper-toned dial is the most premium option, priced at € 1,625.

Our Take
Dress watches, which have been gaining prominence recently with numerous releases, enter a new chapter here. The Raymond Weil Toccata Heritage brings back the oval watch shape that gained fame in the 1960s and 1970s, most notably through the creations of Gérald Genta, who introduced the Universal Genève White Shadow in 1966 and the Patek Philippe Ellipse in 1968.
The new Toccata revives that same elegant spirit with its minimalist dial and two-hand configuration — one for the hours and one for the minutes, because really, what more does a gentleman need? Its hand-wound movement feels entirely appropriate for a watch of this character, connecting it to the essence of traditional watchmaking.
After seeing the collection in person during Watches and Wonders, we can say that it made a strong impression right away. The refined proportions, the light play on the dials, and the perfectly balanced elliptical shape all stand out in the metal. For now, we love it — and we’re confident that purists will too.
