Earthen Company Summit MK2: Ceramic Field Watches Get A New Colourful Identity
What happens when a compact ceramic field watch trades its monochrome uniform for colour? Earthen Company has the answer with the new Summit MK2. The young Hong Kong-based brand has introduced three new versions — Dune Devil, Glade and Après-Bleu — bringing beige, green and navy ceramic into its already distinctive outdoor-inspired collection.
The new models retain the Summit MK2’s compact proportions, automatic movement and highly legible field-watch dial, but their coloured cases and coordinated details give each version a noticeably different character.
Three ceramic cases, three distinct colour combinations
All three new models share the same 38 mm diameter and 10mm thickness, with both the case and bezel manufactured from ceramic. The material gives the watches a lightweight, scratch-resistant construction while also allowing Earthen Company to introduce colours that would be more difficult to achieve with conventional stainless steel.

The Dune Devil combines a beige ceramic case with a brown dial. Orange details provide contrast, appearing on the crown and in the rubber ring surrounding the dial. The colour scheme continues onto one of the two supplied FKM rubber straps, with a dark brown strap providing an alternative look.
The Glade takes a more monochromatic approach, pairing a dark green ceramic case with a green dial. Its most distinctive feature is the extensive use of lume across the dial, creating a dramatically different appearance in low-light conditions. A mint-green crown accent completes the colour palette, while grey and green FKM straps are included.

Completing the trio, the Après-Bleu uses navy ceramic for the case and bezel, matched with a navy dial. Cream-coloured hands and indexes introduce contrast and give the watch a slightly more vintage-inspired appearance. Navy and khaki FKM straps are supplied.
A revised field-watch dial
The Summit MK2 maintains the straightforward layout expected from a field watch, with large Arabic numerals and a railway-style outer minute track designed to make reading the time immediate.
However, Earthen Company has modified the arrangement compared with the original Summit. The Arabic numerals previously positioned at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock have been replaced by rectangular indexes, while the inverted triangle at 12 o’clock remains.

The multi-layered markers are complemented by pad printing, giving the relatively restrained dial more visual depth. At 6 o’clock, the collection’s distinctive skier-descent graphic remains in place, providing a subtle reference to the Summit name and its outdoor character.
The watches are topped by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, helping improve scratch resistance while reducing reflections across the dial.
Miyota automatic power
Inside the Summit MK2 is the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, a Japanese calibre operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The movement provides approximately 42 hours of power reserve and keeps the specification relatively straightforward, matching the practical character of the collection.
Two straps included
Each Summit MK2 comes with two colour-coordinated FKM rubber straps, allowing the same watch to take on a different appearance without changing the case or dial.

The strap combinations reinforce the individual identities of the three models, from the brown and orange pairing of the Dune Devil to the green and grey options of the Glade and the navy and khaki combination supplied with the Après-Bleu.
Price and availability
The Earthen Company Summit MK2 Dune Devil, Glade and Après-Bleu are not limited editions, although production is constrained by the brand’s current manufacturing capacity.
Pricing remains at € 809.95 before VAT, placing the new colourways at the same level as the existing Summit MK2 models.
