Doxa Launches the 42mm SUB 200 C-Graph II

After Doxa launched the SUB 200 C-Graph in 2020, the brand now brings the C-Graph II to the market, the diver with chronograph now presented in a 42mm case and with a sunbrush dial.

The new Doxa SUB 200 C-Graph II despite being similar in almost everything to its older brother, appears now more refined thanks to its new dial that makes it more versatile, but also to the case of more moderate dimensions, which translates into a 3mm reduction in diameter and lug-to-lug distance and almost 1.5mm less in thickness, which in practice makes it a friend of all wrists, small and large.

In all, the new C-Graph II is available in 14 variants, two more than the first generation C-Graph, retaining almost all the same variants, namely Professional (orange), Sharkhunter (black), Caribbean (navy blue), Divingstar (yellow) and Aquamarine (light blue), the exception is the Searambler variant with a silver dial and which has now been replaced by the new Whitepearl with a white dial, which many will say is the old silver.

However, there are some differences beyond the dimensions and the new sunbrush dial, unlike the C-Graph in which all variants came with an aluminium bezel insert in black or in navy blue, the latter in the case of the Caribbean. The new C-Graph II now features a bezel in steel or with ceramic inlay in the same tone as the dial in the cases of Sharkhunter, Caribbean, as well as the new Whitepearl, which is the only variant that comes with both options, the bezel on steel or ceramic inlay.

On the outside, the new Doxa SUB 200 C-Graph II are fitted with a 316L stainless steel case, measuring 42mm in diameter and 15.85mm thick, with a lug-to-lug distance of 46mm, unidirectional bezel with steel insert or ceramic inlay, sapphire glass front, screw-down crown and two push-buttons, steel screw case back and 200m water resistance.

The new sunbursh dial features the same layout as its older brother, formed by three registers at 3-6-9 o’clock, namely a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter and a running seconds respectively, baton hour indexes and hands all filled with Super-LumiNova and finally a central chronograph seconds hand.

At the heart of the new C-Graph II, we find nothing new, continuing to come equipped with a 27-jewel automatic movement, which runs at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 56 hours of power reserve.

Like the C-Graph, this second generation is offered with a stainless steel “Beads of Rice” bracelet or with an FKM rubber strap with a pin buckle and which integrates perfectly into the watch case, the latter of which now comes with a smooth surface in instead of the textured surface that we found in the first generation models.

The new C-Graph II diver’s watches follow the prices of the C-Graph in the steel bezel versions, ranging from €2,850 to €2,890 for the rubber strap or steel bracelet options respectively, while the versions that come with an inlay ceramic bezel have increment price of € 100.
