Discover Seiko’s Latest Presage Cocktail Time Series: A Tribute To Tokyo Nights
Seiko has once again collaborated with Tokyo’s famous Star Bar to release two exquisite new creations in its Presage Cocktail Time Series, inspired by the vibrant nightlife of the city. This time, the collection draws inspiration from the Night-Time Tokyo Cocktail, a signature drink crafted by renowned mixologist Hisashi Kishi, owner of Star Bar. The cocktail features a refreshing blend of rum, orange juice, and lemon-lime soda, and its essence is beautifully reflected in the design of these two timepieces.
Both watches are encased in polished stainless steel, available in two sizes: a 40.50mm case for the SRPK93 model and a 30.50mm case for the SRE015. The design of the smaller version adds an extra layer of sophistication, featuring a hammered edge on the Hardlex crystal, reminiscent of the ice cubes used in cocktail preparation. The smooth bezel, fluted crown at 3 o’clock, and open case back add a touch of refinement, while the 50m water resistance ensures durability.
The dial of each watch is a visual treat, showcasing a textured gradient grey tone that darkens to near black along the edges, evoking the night skies of Tokyo. This design is complemented by gold-tone faceted hour markers, sleek Dauphine hands and a framed date window next to the crown which mimics the gleaming lights of the city. The overall aesthetic captures the lively yet elegant essence of Tokyo after dark.
Inside these stunning timepieces are Seiko’s reliable automatic movements. The larger SRPK93 model is powered by the 4R35 movement, offering a 41-hour power reserve, while the smaller SRE015 is equipped with the 2R05 movement, providing a 40-hour power reserve. Both movements operate at 21,600 vibrations per hour, ensuring precise timekeeping.
Each watch is paired with a 5-link stainless steel bracelet, featuring a folding clasp that bears the iconic Seiko signature, adding to the comfort and style of the piece. Set to be released in October, these watches are limited editions, with the SRPK93 being restricted to 9,000 pieces, priced at €560, and the SRE015 limited to 6,000 pieces, priced at €660.
