Delma expands its Montego collection with the introduction of the new Montego Chronograph Black Editions, offering a modern reinterpretation of its racing-inspired chronograph with a sleek black aesthetic and vibrant color accents. Designed for high performance in both urban and aquatic environments, the latest models retain the core features of the Montego series while embracing a more contemporary and tactical look.
Sporty Dimensions with Enhanced Visual Impact
The Black Editions feature a 42 mm stainless steel case treated with a full black PVD coating, delivering a unified matte finish that enhances the watch’s assertive presence. The case is 16.20 mm thick and features a screw-down crown, two chronograph pushers with knurled grips, and a screwed caseback—all contributing to the watch’s balanced ergonomics and functional design. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the 200-meter water resistance affirms the Montego’s status as a true sport chronograph.
Functional Dial Layout with Bold Accent Options
The dial design follows Montego’s established tri-compax layout, with a 12-hour register at 6 o’clock, a runing seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, and a day and date display at 3 o’clock, seamlessly integrated and in the same color as the dial. Each Black Edition dial is finished with a subtle sunray touch on a deep black base, providing a refined texture in changing light.
Color-coded accents provide distinction between three available variants, with red, blue or yellow accents applied to the outer rings of the three sub-dials as well as the minute track. The high-contrast tachymeter scale that wraps around the bezel in white on black emphasizes the model’s motorsport roots.
Reliable Automatic Chronograph Movement
Inside, the Montego Chronograph Black Editions are equipped with the Sellita SW500 automatic movement, a dependable chronograph caliber known for its durability and widespread serviceability. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it provides 2 days of power reserve. The movement is visible through the transparent sapphire caseback, revealing a Delma-signed rotor with decorative striping.
Integrated Bracelet and Cohesive Design
The watch is fitted with a five-row stainless steel bracelet, also finished in black PVD to match the case. It features a folding clasp with security pushers, offering both comfort and reliability for daily wear or more active use. It is now available for € 3,125.
