Czapek expands its Antarctique collection with the new Frozen Meteor, a limited-edition release that combines the brand’s integrated sports watch design with a striking meteorite dial and the latest generation of its stainless steel bracelet.

Available in two case sizes, 40.5mm and 38.5mm, the new models continue the evolution of the Antarctique collection while showcasing one of nature’s most fascinating materials on the dial.

Meteorite Dial Inspired By Polar Landscapes

The highlight of the new Antarctique Frozen Meteor is undoubtedly its dial, crafted from genuine Gibeon meteorite. Originating from a meteorite that fell to Earth in present-day Namibia millions of years ago, each dial features a unique pattern formed by the natural crystalline structure of the material.

To reveal the characteristic Widmanstätten pattern, the meteorite surface undergoes an acid treatment followed by hand polishing before receiving a light blue lacquer finish. The resulting appearance changes depending on lighting conditions, shifting between icy blue tones and subtle grey reflections.

Applied hour markers and faceted sword-shaped hands are filled with Super-LumiNova to ensure excellent legibility in low-light environments.

Available In 40.5mm And 38.5mm Cases

The Frozen Meteor preserves the familiar Antarctique case architecture, featuring a barrel-shaped profile with vertically brushed surfaces contrasted by polished details on the bezel and crown guards.

Both models are crafted from stainless steel and share a slim 10.60 mm thickness despite their different diameters of 40.50 mm and 38.50 mm. Water resistance is rated at 120 metres, making the watch suitable for daily wear as well as aquatic activities.

A box-shaped sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the sapphire display caseback offers an unobstructed view of the movement.

New Generation Integrated Bracelet

Another important update arrives in the form of Czapek’s new V2 integrated bracelet.

Manufactured in stainless steel, the bracelet retains the collection’s signature design with polished central C-shaped links contrasted by brushed outer links. The new version benefits from tighter manufacturing tolerances, improving overall rigidity and delivering more precise transitions between links.

The clasp has also been redesigned and now incorporates a push-button operated quick-change system, allowing wearers to swap straps without the need for tools.

In-House SXH5 Calibre

Powering both versions of the Frozen Meteor is Czapek’s in-house SXH5 automatic movement.

The calibre features a platinum micro-rotor and is instantly recognisable thanks to its seven openworked black bridges with sandblasted finishing. A transversal bridge secures the variable inertia balance wheel, contributing to stability and chronometric performance.

Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), the movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours from a single barrel.

Limited Availability

The Antarctique Frozen Meteor will be produced in limited numbers, with the 40.5mm version restricted to 38 pieces and the 38.5mm model limited to just 25 examples.

Both watches are priced at CHF 25,000 before taxes, with first deliveries expected to begin in September 2026.
