Clemence Elevates Its Debut Model With The New Photic MKII
Clemence reintroduces its original diver with the launch of the Photic MKII, a version that brings updated engineering, expanded colors, and the same dependable automatic movement as its predecessor. Pre-orders begin today November 26th, with deliveries planned for February 2026.

Case Construction and Dimensions
The Photic MKII maintains the familiar shape of the debut model but incorporates a redesigned case structure that enables tighter tolerances and a slimmer profile. Thanks to revised production methods and the use of new custom tools, the stainless steel case has been reduced to 10.50 mm including the crystal. The watch is crafted from 316L stainless steel, while the bezel ring uses 904L stainless steel treated with a hardened coating. The model offers a water resistance rating of 200 meters and features a fluted screw-down crown. A sapphire crystal completes the front of the watch. The reduced thickness places the Photic MKII among the slimmest 200-meter automatic divers in its category, enhancing comfort without sacrificing capability.

Bezel and Durability Enhancements
Clemence has refined the bezel system by pairing the hardened 904L ring with a sapphire insert, resulting in improved scratch resistance and greater long-term durability. The uni-directional rotating bezel is designed to offer accurate timing whether underwater or during everyday use. In this new generation, bezel color options have also expanded, adding more distinctive and vibrant choices compared to the original release.

Dial Variants and Legibility
The Photic MKII arrives in five configurations. The Moray edition features a black dial with a slate grey bezel. The Shoal version combines a warm light grey dial with a slate grey bezel. The Nemo version presents an orange dial matched with a black bezel, while the Kraken model reverses that combination with a black dial and an orange bezel. Finally, the Photic edition pairs a blue dial with a black bezel.

The dial layout mirrors the functional design of the first generation, incorporating lume-filled baton hour markers alongside Arabic numerals positioned at 12 and 6 o’clock. The watch also retains its double minute track, with one scale arranged around the outer perimeter of the dial and a second located toward the center. The hands and markers maintain strong visual contrast to ensure clear readability in low-light environments. Together with the thinner case, these elements contribute to a design well-suited for both daily wear and more active settings.
Movement
Inside the Photic MKII is the Miyota 9039, a no-date automatic caliber recognized for reliability and practicality. It delivers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with hacking seconds included. The decision to continue using this movement highlights that the significant updates in the MKII version come from enhanced case engineering rather than mechanical changes.

Pre-Order Pricing and Availability
The Clemence Photic MKII is offered at a pre-order price of GBP 600 when fitted with a stainless steel bracelet and GBP 525 when supplied on a rubber strap. After the pre-order window concludes, the standard retail price will rise to GBP 650 for the bracelet configuration and GBP 575 for the rubber option.
