Citizen’s New Promaster Land GMT Focuses On Practical Travel Functionality
Citizen expands its Promaster collection with the Promaster Land GMT, a travel-oriented tool watch that combines dual-time functionality with the brand’s established Eco-Drive technology. Designed for frequent travelers and outdoor use, the model introduces GMT capability to the Promaster Land lineup while maintaining a clear emphasis on practicality and durability.
Dual Time Functionality
The Promaster Land GMT is equipped with a GMT complication, allowing two time zones to be displayed simultaneously. The watch features conventional hour, minute, and seconds hands, alongside an additional 24-hour GMT hand. This hand operates in conjunction with a fixed 24-hour bezel, making it possible to track a second time zone at a glance.

Local time is read via the standard hour hand, while the GMT hand points to the corresponding hour on the bezel. This layout is well suited for travelers who regularly move between time zones or need to monitor home time while abroad.
Eco-Drive Solar Movement
Powering the watch is Citizen’s Eco-Drive Caliber B877 quartz movement, which converts light into energy. The dial functions as a solar panel, capturing both natural and artificial light to keep the movement running. This removes the need for battery replacements and allows the watch to operate continuously as long as it receives periodic exposure to light.
Eco-Drive technology is a core element of Citizen’s watchmaking approach, offering consistent accuracy, long-term reliability, and minimal maintenance.
Case Construction and Technical Specifications
Both versions of the Promaster Land GMT share the same 39.50 mm stainless steel case, finished predominantly with brushing to reinforce its tool-watch character. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while a knurled crown positioned at 3 o’clock, flanked by protective guards, enhances grip and security during use.

The case is closed with a screwed solid case back and provides 200 meters of water resistance, making the watch suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities and environments.
Dial Design and Legibility
The dial features a terrain-inspired textured surface, adding visual depth while also improving contrast. Large Arabic numerals, clearly defined markers, and well-proportioned hands contribute to strong legibility in everyday and active settings. The GMT hand is finished in a contrasting color, allowing it to be easily distinguished from the local hour hand.

Luminous material is applied to the hands and hour markers to ensure readability in low-light conditions.
Two Variants
The Citizen Promaster Land GMT is offered in two configurations. The BJ7150-50W features a red dial with orange accents and is paired with a stainless steel bracelet. This version is priced at USD 595. The BJ7150-09L comes with a navy blue dial accented with yellow details and is fitted with a gray nylon strap secured by a steel pin buckle, priced at USD 525. Aside from their visual differences and strap options, both models share identical technical specifications.
