Citizen Unveils Two Limited-Edition Super Titanium Watches with Exquisite Washi Dials
Citizen introduces two captivating limited-edition Super Titanium models, each embodying Japanese artistry with unique dials crafted from washi, a traditional Japanese paper renowned for its resilience and texture. These exclusive timepieces, limited to 350 units each, proudly showcase the distinguished Eagle mark on the dial, crown, and case back. This symbol not only represents Citizen’s commitment to foresight and the pursuit of excellence but also underscores the bond between the wearer and their watch.

The first model features a dial with a subtle blue-grey hue, inspired by the rippling patterns created by wind in desert sands and dunes. The second model presents a gradient gold dial, darkening near the edges to a near-black shade, capturing the serene glow of a moon partially hidden in a misty night sky.

Both watches are encased in a 38.3mm Super Titanium case. The blue variant showcases a polished and brushed finish, while the gold version adds a layer of sophistication with a durable DLC coating. Complementing the robust design, each watch is equipped with a sapphire crystal, a smooth bezel, and a fluted crown positioned at 3 o’clock that bears Citizen’s signature. A screwed case back engraved with the Eagle mark medallion completes the design, and the watch boasts a water resistance of up to 100 meters.

The dials of these limited editions are meticulously detailed, featuring textured surfaces, faceted hour markers, and elegant Dauphine hands. In the blue model, the hands are brushed and polished, whereas in the gold variant, they are gold-plated, enhancing its warm, luxurious appeal. Positioned near the crown, the framed date window stands out with a white background for easy readability, while the Citizen brand name is placed at noon, and the embossed Eagle mark adorns the 6 o’clock position.

At the core of these watches lies the high-precision Caliber A060 with Eco-Drive technology, which is powered by any light source. This movement offers an impressive array of features, including a perpetual calendar, independent hour-hand adjustment, and an outstanding accuracy of ±5 seconds per year. Additionally, it provides a power reserve of up to seven months when fully charged.

For those drawn to elegance and versatility, the blue variant is paired with a 3-link Super Titanium bracelet with a folding clasp and is priced at USD 4,200. In contrast, the gold version exudes a refined, artisanal charm with a hand-crafted Chari-Happo goatskin leather strap, available at USD 4,100. These Citizen Super Titanium limited editions combine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern, high-performance watchmaking.
