Citizen Refreshes The Promaster Dive Line With Two Striking Limited Editions
Citizen has introduced two new limited-edition additions to its acclaimed Promaster Dive collection, presenting the same striking ocean-inspired aesthetic in two different case sizes. Leading the release is the larger ref. BN0167-09W, accompanied by the more compact ref. EO2023-00W, offering enthusiasts a choice between a traditional full-size diver and a smaller, more versatile format.

Both watches combine the robust specifications expected from the Promaster line with environmentally conscious materials and a visually distinctive dial inspired by the colors and reflections of the sea.
Citizen Promaster Dive BN0167-09W
The first of the two models is the Citizen Promaster Dive BN0167-09W, presented in a 44 mm stainless steel case with a brushed finish that reinforces its tool-watch character. The case is paired with a blue unidirectional rotating bezel, a classic element of professional dive watches designed for tracking elapsed underwater time.
Like other members of the Promaster family, the watch features the collection’s signature protected crown positioned at 4 o’clock, enhancing comfort on the wrist while improving impact protection.

Water resistance is rated at 200 meters, making it fully suitable for recreational diving and everyday aquatic use, while remaining faithful to the expectations of a true dive watch.
Powering the watch is Citizen’s proven Eco-Drive movement E168, a light-powered quartz caliber that charges through both natural and artificial light sources. This technology eliminates the need for regular battery replacements and remains one of the strongest selling points of the Promaster range, combining practicality with long-term reliability.
The dial is one of the highlights of this release. Finished in a blue-to-turquoise gradient inspired by ocean waters, it features a shimmering visual effect created through pigment-free structural color ink technology. This innovative process manipulates light reflection to produce dynamic tonal changes across the dial surface, creating depth and movement depending on the viewing angle.

Legibility remains a key focus, with the watch featuring large luminous hands and markers for excellent visibility in low-light conditions, while a date window positioned at 4 o’clock adds everyday practicality.
Complementing the case is a black strap made from sustainable plant-based material, designed to offer the flexibility and durability expected from a professional diver’s strap while incorporating a more environmentally conscious approach. Citizen extends this sustainable philosophy to the dial production process as well.
This limited edition is restricted to 8,700 pieces worldwide and is priced at USD 495.
Citizen Promaster Dive EO2023-00W
For those who prefer a more compact case size, Citizen also presents the Promaster Dive EO2023-00W, which brings the same design language and technical package in a smaller 36.50 mm stainless steel case.
This version introduces a slightly more fashion-forward appearance through its rose gold-tone case finish, creating a warmer and more distinctive presence on the wrist. The bezel contrasts this finish with a silver insert and rose gold-tone markings, maintaining the functionality of a professional diver while offering a more refined aesthetic.

The dial mirrors the larger model’s ocean-inspired concept, once again showcasing the blue and turquoise reflective structural color surface, delivering an almost wave-like visual texture.
Just like the 44 mm version, this smaller model is powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive light-powered movement and offers 200 meters of water resistance, ensuring the same dependable performance. It also retains the unidirectional dive bezel, luminous hands and markers, the practical date display at 4 o’clock, and the characteristic protected crown design that has become synonymous with the Promaster line.
The strap on this reference is finished in gray and is also produced using Benebiol plant-based material, further underlining Citizen’s continued emphasis on sustainability throughout this limited-edition release.
This smaller edition is more exclusive, with production limited to 3,400 units worldwide, while retaining the same USD 495 price point.
A Dual-Size Limited Edition Release
With these two new Promaster Dive limited editions, Citizen offers the same strong technical package in two distinct wearing experiences. The BN0167-09W caters to collectors who prefer a more traditional full-size dive watch presence, while the EO2023-00W provides a smaller and more versatile alternative without sacrificing performance or visual impact.

Both pieces reinforce the strengths that have made the Promaster line one of Citizen’s most recognizable collections: durability, functionality, Eco-Drive convenience, and an increasing commitment to sustainable materials.
