Citizen Celebrates 35 Years Of Promaster With New Land Series Watches
Citizen is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its iconic Promaster line with the release of three new Promaster Land Series watches. Designed for adventure and exploration, these new models cater to those venturing on land, in the air, or in the water. Featuring a robust stainless steel case, these watches offer both analogue and digital displays and are powered by Citizen’s sustainable Eco-Drive movement, making them environmentally friendly as they harness power from any light source, eliminating the need for battery changes.
Two of the new watches have become part of Citizen’s permanent collection. One features a matte black dial paired with a black rubber strap, while the other boasts a matte green dial, housed in a grey steel case, with a matching Cordura strap for added durability. Alongside these is a special 35th-anniversary edition, limited to just 5,900 units. This limited edition stands out with its camo dial and bezel, a grey-coated steel case, a matching bracelet, and an additional camo textile strap.
The Promaster Land Series watches are housed in a 43.90mm case with a smooth bezel, sapphire crystal, and a screw-down crown positioned at 3 o’clock, flanked by guards and two pushers. Additionally, there is an extra crown located at 8 o’clock, a solid case back, and the watch offers 200 meters of water resistance, making it ideal for adventure seekers.
The dial features a busy, functional layout with a two-register design, a midday DLC screen, Arabic numerals, indexes, luminescent hands, and a rotating inner compass. The watches come packed with practical features, including a world time display, stopwatch, alarm, perpetual calendar, light level indicator, power save mode, charge level display, and summertime mode.
These timepieces are powered by the highly reliable Quartz Eco-Drive U822 movement, which runs on any light source, ensuring that you never have to worry about changing the battery. With a focus on performance and durability, the Promaster Land Series offers a perfect blend of form and function.
